POWERFUL: Former Atheist Leader Shares Christianity With Richard Dawkins, and the Room Erupts

What we are seeing on college campuses and in society more broadly is a crisis of purpose. Having rejected Christianity, people are left desperately trying to fill the void in their lives with something else.

Wait, What?! SNL Truly Funny As Skit Mocks Columbia University Parents Whose Kids Are Busy Protesting

Kenan Thompson is the one truly hilarious comedian they’ve had in the last few years, and he can make you laugh doing just about anything. Here he plays the father of a Columbia student, and while he’s down for the cause, he still thinks his daughter should be sitting her butt in class, not out cosplaying a soldier.

Kristi Noem Just Cricketed Her Career in Disastrous Interview

Sis, if you can't handle an interview with Margaret Brennan, you're not gonna be able to handle Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

Congress is back at it on Monday, though only a couple of hearings are scheduled on the day, including a House Rules Committee meeting and a House Intelligence Committee hearing.

Then, too, we're still waiting to see what Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-GA) next move will be regarding her motion to vacate the speaker's chair.

White House What's Up

President Joe Biden will return to the White House (from Wilmington, Delaware) Monday morning to present the Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy to the United States Military Academy Army Black Knights at the White House. Later in the day, he and First Lady Jill Biden will be hosting a "Cinco de Mayo" ("Seis de Mayo?") celebration in the Rose Garden.

Full Court Press...

Former President Donald Trump will be back in court in Manhattan to begin Week Four of the criminal trial against him for allegedly falsifying business records. His former aide Hope Hicks will retake the stand where the defense will continue its cross-examination of her.

MORNING MUSING

I've largely remained mum on #CricketGate up until now. Anyone who follows me on social media or is a regular reader of my writing knows I'm a dog lover, but I'm not going to relitigate the Noem incident itself. What I'm going to observe is this: The inclusion of the story in the book and the effort(s) since to respond show really cruddy political instincts. One of Donald Trump's strengths is and always has been his ability to read the room. If he wants a VP who can't, then maybe she's his gal. But I'd not put money on it.

LIGHTER FARE

Bob Hoge included this one in his F1 post, but it's fun enough to share here, too:
