UCLA Activist Details Small Problem After Arrest, and the Internet Delivers a Well-Deserved Dunking

As we reported, the police moved in and took out the radical protester encampment at UCLA.

We wrote about how the protesters did not respond well when the police moved in and started arresting them. There was crying, and one begged, "Don't fail us." Then, they were unmasked one by one by the police before they were put on the police buses. They were not at all happy with that. Funny how they don't seem to have considered the possible consequences of their actions, either academic discipline or being arrested, although it remains to be seen whether any of them suffer any legal consequences as many seemed just to be issued citations.

But as our sister site Twitchy reported, one fellow returned to the campus after his time with the police because, he said, he had left his bag with his wallet, keys, and Apple Watch back at the encampment. The protester, Ren Diaz, was interviewed by NBC reporter Liz Kreutz. He said his air tag showed they were in a dumpster at Dickson Plaza, but the school wasn't letting him get them.

He was upset because he claimed the people told him he could get them when he came back.

I think that's hilarious. His crew brought chaos to the university and they had garbage everywhere. He thought that his stuff was going to be safe there? Oh, and by the way, as you and your brethren call on UCLA to divest, it looks like you hadn't been "divesting," given you had an Apple Watch and they have R&D in Israel. So, all you folks with iPhones and Apple Watches have a basic hypocrisy problem here. Although maybe not anymore — looks like you might have involuntarily "divested" when it went in the dumpster.

And can we ask if young Mr. Diaz gave the reporter his name (if that's his real name), why is he wearing a mask? Jesse James fetish? Think it makes him look tough?

I think it's safe to say that most people didn't have a lot of sympathy for this guy. The comments were priceless.
