I’d actually love to see the “real” financials at the Times. You can bet the stuff their giving up for pubic and investor consumption is the best case scenario and isn’t even close to what they know reality is going to look like. I’m guessing this is going to shape up as a really really really ugly year for them.
The really interesting undercurrent in all of this is the Mexican dude. He is the largest single shareholder at about 7% plus the $250MM in warrants that make the junk bond rates look really good by comparison. Even though he holds Class B stock - no voting rights - his warrants should give him a big say as to what happens operationally on a day-to-day basis. I’m guessing he is going to be causing Pinch etal major heartburn in the not too distant future.
