Scott Walker Offers Olive Branch, Fleebagging Democrats Spit in His Face
Despite the financial straits that Wisconsin is facing, the war being waged against Scott Walker has always been about union power. Now, amid reports that Scott Walker is offering a compromise to unions and their Democrat puppets, their refusal to budge is proving this point.
Appearing to blink first in a nearly three-week standoff with absent Senate Democrats, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker offered to keep certain collective bargaining rights in place for state workers in a proposed compromise, according to e-mails released Tuesday by his office.
But the e-mails weren’t enough to end a stalemate that has drawn national attention and ignited a storm of protest from union workers and their supporters.
Sen. Bob Jauch, one of the 14 Democrats on the run in Illinois to block a vote on Walker’s original proposal, said he hoped the compromise would serve as a blueprint for future negotiations. But he and Sen. Tim Cullen, who were both working with Walker’s administration, said the latest offer was inadequate.
Given the fact that Scott Walker is initiating the discussion by offering a compromise and
unions fleebagging Democrats are not offering anything substantive in return demonstrates that they are not interested in negotiating, but are determined to prolong the stalemate.
At this point, Scott Walker needs to put a time limit on his offer. If his offer to compromise is not met with a substantive offer from Democrats, he needs to pull his offer and let the chips fall where they may.
It is useless to negotiate with union thugs or union-controlled Democrats. The faster Republicans learn this, the better off the country will be.
The olive branch has been extended and they’ve spit in his face. Let the fleebaggers stay in Illinois.
