to waste a whole installment of show on. But even so, let’s be clear on the language. “Political traitor” would mean traitor to his party. Obama’s a Democrat, Huntsman’s a Republican, so right out of the gate, the answer’s, “No.”

But feel free to make the absurd case Huntsman is instead a traitor to the entire country, a la Kennedy and the Soviets, as was attempted yesterday.

Erick, thanks for putting emphasis on the character of the individual as well as on their stand on political issues. The individual’s character reveals a great deal about the person’s mindset and outlook, beliefs and convictions, play a part in how they might respond to situations.

Dems are making more headway in moving their agenda forward than we might like to acknowledge. If we are to have any hope of rolling that back and restoring balance, we need someone strong enough in character that they won’t be compromising day in and day out.

Qualities such as honor, loyalty and character do matter a great deal in this context. We need someone whose first loyalty is to the people of this nation, not an agenda.
