How did the party let itself get hijacked by abortion warriors?

Hold your fire. Did you think I was talking about Republicans? Oh, no. I’m talking about the Democrats. That party has been hijacked by the radical feminist fringe. In a way that mimics the imagined trend of the Tea party, the feminists are pushing losing candidates on the Democrats, and forcing them to pick up losing issues in the elections.

This goes from Barack Obama on down. In a jobs election, he’s talking abortion.

This has been brewing a while, too. So hold your inflamed commentary about recent events, because this is older than that. Here’s a trio of photos I took in the DC Metro system on August 6, here in Virginia:

I zoomed in sequentially so you could see what was going on here? The Chicago gang is taking their regional, extremist values and trying to push them on the entire country. They’re so out of touch they think they can, or even must, win this election on social issues.

It’s not just Barack Obama, either. Look at the Democrat stronghold of Massachusetts. Twice in a row they’ve been stuck with absolutely horrible candidates for Senate, despite having a deep bench, as every single House district in the state is represented by a Democrat. Why? It’s clear they’re insisting that they elect the first woman to represent Massachusetts in the Senate.

First Martha Coakley, then Elizabeth Warren, both of whom have shown an inability to pull away from Scott Brown in a far left state, because they’re both too ineffective and too extreme even for Massachusetts. And now Barack Obama is being forced to walk the radical pro-abort line, even in a jobs election.

It’s not enough for the social fringe of the Democrat party that they win elections. They must make the election be about fringe social views, even if it costs them elections. It’s about teaching a lesson, apparently.

I put the ammo away, Neil, but you were kinda asking for it with your title. The GOP has an opportunity here to paint Obama as the extreme radical he is. While I’m philosophically opposed to the rape/incest exception, on a pragmatic level, I’m okay with R & R including it in their comment. What they should do, however, when asked about their “extreme” position, is talk about how many times Obama voted against the partial birth abortion ban and ask the reporter/moderator/flamethrower if it is acceptable for the POTUS to support infanticide. Then follow up with how much taxpayer money funds abortions.

The Dems are trying to figure out how they lost Mediscare – there normal Mariano Rivera in an election. I mean they are flailing, at the moment.

  • garfieldjl

If the Democrats want to talk about being pro-Abortion so badly, how about we drag up how abortion is being used for Eugenics and how Obama was perfectly okay with babies being thrown in the trash because they were born alive.
Oh you have a girl baby and wanted a boy, go get an abortion and try again. A boy baby but you wanted a girl, go have an abortion. The baby will have brown hair but you wanted a baby with blond hair go have an abortion.
I think it’s high time we start pointing out what the Democrats are really advocating.

Lock & Load. The title was just Akin for some controvery. Serious though..it seems the radicals in the Dem party are running everything. Last time I was in Chicago I saw pro-palestinian and anti-israeli posters in the subway stations. The fringe knows many of their voters are uniformed bots. Their methodology is the same..Repubs are evil, haters, racists, oppressors of the people, etc etc etc.

acat, trying to think how low the Obama Reign will go to retain power is indeed frightening. To see the mind set of these people, read through @DLoesch’s twitter feed, I just warn you – you don’t want Junior Cat to see that garbage.
Since they already have stooped to say that Romney causes cancer death and Ryan hides the bodies by throwing them over a cliff, I guess the only place to go is to claim Romney and Ryan worship the Devil; complete with photoshopped pictures. I’ll probably regret writing this as I am sure the RedState troll intern for Axelrod just ran into his office with this great idea, I got off of RedState….

  • gbenton

Good news… leftists don’t believe in the Devil and I doubt Axelrod could handle reading Redstate… his head would go all ‘scanners’.

Each party got hijacked by abortion by Roe v. Wade.

Roe v. Wade made abortion the number one issue in federal elections.

There is something much broader and deeper to consider. Marxist socialism baits people on divisive issues, with welfare, liberation theology, equality and more. It deliberately makes everyone an accomplice to its crimes, poisons the whole fabric of society, if you fall for the Populist Bandwagon you are an accomplice, you are hooked and it would be almost impossible to admit to the crime. Don’t confuse populism with popularity, populism is a recruitment tool used by socialists, populism is class warfare and more.
Our foundation, our founding values are social values of Individualism, Individual Conscience of public government depending upon morality of the people and not a Statist government forcing morality on the people. A Public Government, Individuals whom have the moral conscience to govern their selves, this was our framework of self governance and our founding values that protected us from a socialist Sate. To implement a socialist State this wall must be taken down. The abortion issue can be seen as one more brick to take down in the wall that protects us from a socialist Sate and is seen this way with Marxist college professors and ardent communist protesters. My normal venue is arguing with Marxist college professors and ardent communist protesters thanks to my location in W/Mass.

Kitty…why can’t I find what you have commented on? I like the new look…but I miss the comment section. It’s hard to find everyone. As far a abortion…this is being spun as a women’s issue and it makes me mad to see it. You would think we are some stupid, less than people that cannot take care of ourselves. Yes We Can. Meaning…we can PAY TO PLAY and we should not make the public pay for that. Further…if we are TOO STUPID to use contraception…then the public should not have to pay for our stupidity. Nice to see you Kitty.

It is unbelievably frustrating to me to see so many women who claim to care about “the children” ignore Obama’s radical beliefs on the live birth of babies intended for abortion. The AKin story continues to get traction and even pro-life women in my office are talking about it. I get kind of scared. Will this really derail R&R?

  • runner12

The Left has somehow made abortion and the debates about it surround the so-called “woman’s right to choose.” They have made it the cornerstone, in their narrow view, of womens’ rights. Unfortunately, in doing so they have neglected other more important issues to women like the economy, jobs, future of our children, freedom, etc.

I wish the Left would be intellectually honest enough to quit making this abortion debate about women’s rights. The debate is really about when one believes life begins and how much value they place on that life. It is a scientific, ethical, and moral debate, not a feminist one.

  • usnk2

yes, BOTH parties got hijacked, leading America into economic destruction by this distraction over… well, the choir here is so hostile on this subject I think Mitch Daniels had the right idea – leave politics and run a major university.
The Dems use “choice” to insure voter turnout where/when they need it.
The GOP was on firm ground when the issue was government dollars.
Now, it just sounds like the Catholic Church before 1960.

Obama’s Message: If they bring a job to the fight, we’ll bring an abortion!

  • celador2

If anything signals a rising star it is a slot to speak at the convention. Obama spoke in 2004. for example. Warren has a chance to correct for twenty minutes the image she has created in the state running for Senate. She is a blue eyed blonde hired as a Cherokee. And she claims she is the intellectual founder of OWS.
How will Elizabeth Warren change the subject to describe herself and her mission?

  • celador2

Romney was asked many questions would he ban contraception in primary debates by a liberal moderator. Abortion rallies some women voters and Obama needs every vote he can get.

Is Social Security and Medicare Doomed ?

While we fight for humanitary reasons and rightly so ; I think
the American public need to be advised of the reasons it also is wrong by
removing taxpayers from the rolls to support the Social Security and Medicare
    programs.

It’s a shame what these politcos have done to destroy a
necessary program our seniors need while no one brings these facts
    up.

We all hear how medicare and social security are destined to
run out of money soon . How there are not enough paying into the programs to
    satisfy our longer life span.

    Why is this happening ?

Well for starters we are killing all of our futures with
massive numbers of babies being aborted.

So far there have been 53 million children aborted since 1973
and thousands more every day . That’s over 50 million people that would have
paid into both programs to pay for our aging population. Just as we have paid
for those before us . Think about this . We now have 57 million seniors on S/S
and medicare . Those 53 million babies would have grown up and did their part to
keep the programs funded just as we did for our parents and grandparents
.Politics destroyed the programs by ripping life from the wombs before they had
a chance to breathe clean air .They would have added to the money that was
dedicated to the programs until President Johnson and a democrat controlled
Congress voted to use those funds to promote other social programs and leaving
IOU’s to return the money which was never done.

50 million ,plus , were just illiminated by a Supreme Court
who felt it was a womans right to privacy which it claimed was guarenteed by the
U.S. Constitution which it could not specifically find anywhere so the Court
concluded that it was implied in either the 14th Amendment or the penumbra of
    the Bill of Rights.

That decision by a majority of the court made by Judges with
the power of God. It’s time to place an age limit on these people of absolute
power and while were at it also the U.S. Congress who just go along as long as
they get re-elected. Also “ALL of our elected ” should be required to be covered
by the laws they pass like S/S-Medicare and Obamacare. They are not God . Things
HAVE to CHANGE.Our money is gone . Let them earn theirs.

The Congress and President , allowed the future destruction
of these programs that so many of our older citizens now depend on. Think of
it. Supreme Justices along with the President and Congress were guilty of not
only destroying these programs but took on the

power of God by murdering our future in less than 40 years .
Now our children and grandchildren will suffer because of faulty
    decisions.

I wonder how Almighty God will judge the goodness of these
    actions.

I wonder how much longer He will allow this slaughter of the
    innocents . Get involved; VOTE.
