Is The Media Coordinating On Race Baiting? Ask John Harris and Politico

We should not forget that John Harris of the Politico, who asked the stupidest and most irrelevant questions of any moderator during the GOP Primary debates, is married to the former head of NARAL in Virginia.

We should not forget that Jonathan Allen of the Politico once worked for Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

We should not forget that Andy Barr of the Politico left the Politico to go work for the Democratic National Committee.

We should not forget any of this because I do not believe it is any accident that today the Politico has a big story from John Harris about race in the 2012 election.

The welfare attacks came up suddenly from the Romney campaign, which said little about the issue when Obama’s administration changed policy to let states seek waivers on the work requirements. The Romney welfare ads, which have been on heavily in battleground states, prominently feature Bill Clinton signing the welfare reform bill into law. The first ad in the series said that Obama moved “quietly” to “gut” the Clinton reforms so that now, “They just send you your welfare check. … Welfare-to-work goes back to being plain old welfare.”

The welfare ads — regardless of their racial intent — seemed designed to help Romney gain ground on Obama since many independent voters in key demographics, such as swing-state Catholics, tend to view government aid to the poor with suspicion, according to polling data.

Why not an accident that this story appears today?

It comes on the same day the Los Angeles Times runs a story that the GOP is trying to make an all white party look brown, NBC would not show any of the speeches from minorities at the RNC Convention on their website, BS-NBC ditched all minorities during their live coverage of the convention, and Chuck Todd, whose wife used to work for the Democratic Party, says the GOP is pushing a diversity card.

I wonder if any of these people have noticed that the Republican Party has more elected hispanic Congressmen and Governors than the Democrats?

It is not an accident that the media, immediately after the Democrats started pushing out the War on Women, began running stories about the GOP’s hostility to women. It is now not an accident that the media, led by NBC and the Politico (which also partnered on that pathetic GOP primary debate), would peddle out the GOP and race stories.

It is far too much to be a coincidence that the Politico and NBC have ties, sometimes in the same bed, to Democrat and leftwing activists and then hop out of bed on the same page as the Democrats’ talking points.

“The welfare ads — regardless of their racial intent… ” funny how the MSM tries to paint with a broad brush (i.e. those racist Repubs) when 70% of welfare recipients are white.

And now they can coordinate a Great Media Blackout of liberals’ racist and sexist vandalism of Mia Love’s Wikipedia page.

    The answer is yes.

As to the MSM, the next time you hear somebody complaining about the “conservative” media, remind them about Lichter, Rothman & Lichter, in which it was shown that journalists’ support for Democrat candidates never drops below 80%. It’s here along with other surveys done over the years in a quick synopsis by Newsbusters’ Rich Noyes from 2008.

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/rich-noyes/2008/11/02/democrats-most-reliable-constituents-press

I doubt the stats have changed much in the last four years.

  • renny

We have to urge people not to watch any MSM nor buy their sponsors’ products and tell the advertisers so. There is no way to get any of this propaganda to change except through money. It is the only thing next to left-wing talking points these “businesses” understand.

  • renny

Since the Clintons. They started both spin and talking points.

  • BillM

    He has been fired. http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2012/08/29/david_chalian_s_abc_yahoo_hot_mic_mishap_romneys_are_happy_to_have_a_party_with_black_people_drowning_.html

And 70+% of ALL people supported welfare reform.

  • Tbone

It’s OK. White folks are tired of being called racists.

I rather enjoy it, when it happens to my face. A Latino-looking man (ruh-roh, was that racist of me to describe him that way?) was outside Paul Ryan’s rally in Virginia last week, holding a sign denouncing “Voter Suppression” When I asked him where on earth “voter suppression” was taking place, well, you know the drill. “Poor people (that is, Latinos) can’t afford I.D. cards, glockity, glockity …”

Then he said the Best Thing Ever. He said he was just there to watch all the bigots going in to the rally. So I did the Best Thing Ever. I introduced my Latina daughter as “one of the bigots’ going to the rally. Ruh-roh. Rim shot.

Latina nina and I high-fived as we walked away, laughing.

The last time I looked the public airwaves, radio and television, belonged to the public, not ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. Isn’t it time for the public to exert some control over them.

Biased reporting is taught at our schools of journalism where advocacy journalism is lauded. Changes need to be made at all levels of American journalism.

I’ve always wondered why the White House Press Corps is housed in the White House and not in the Executive Office Building. Time to move them out.

It’s really hideous to take a country that has worked so hard equalizing the races, and bring racism back into every discussion. For some black Americans, it’s just habit or maybe fragments of long ago that are hard to let go of, but for professional writers and public figures, it’s disgraceful!

  • Mars the Avenger

That, I do. Look what happened to those companies which dropped Rush a few months back. Stock price dropped, business fell off. Who’s in the driver’s seat now? I don’t take seriously, and haven’t for over 20 years, a dinosaur media made up of glorified script readers who style themselves journalists. Chrissy Matthews is no more qualified to be a “journalist” than the cockroach I stomp out in my garage.

  • givemefreedom

The media DOES cordinate the news cycle with the administration. The media IS in the tank with liberal prgressive democrat machine. The media COVERS for Obama and the administration. The media PROVIDES free advertising for the democrat machine.

  • givemefreedom

YAHOO is in the tank with the liberal progressive democrat machine like all the other media.

  • givemefreedom

That’s not desperation, that’s cunning and stealth.
Wait for the “STIMULUS” money to hit the advertising racks for Obama and the democrat machine. You ain’t seen nothing yet if you think the media can’t get more obviously biased.

  • cwfoster

Can you say JournoLIST? What makes you think THAT went away, as opposed to just underground under a different name?

  • givemefreedom

Let’s not beat the drum too hard for the marchers at FOX . . . . remember where almost ALL of their talking heads came from . . . . . liberal progressive democrat media outlets like ABC, CBS, and NBC.

  • theatlmac

Many Republican’s live in predominantly white neighborhoods and communities. Likewise, many minorities live in communities with similar people. The difference is the willingness of Republican’s to listen to, accept and vote for people who might not look like them, but that believe in the same thing they do. To cite an example, supposedly racist Republican’s have voted for Susana Martinez, Tim Scott, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Niki Haley, Bobby Jindal, and Luis Fortuno. In Democrat communities of color, they vote in candidates such as Cynthia McKinney. It seems clear which party votes on the basis of race and which one votes on the power of ideas but don’t try explaining that to the MSM. They’re too sold out to get it.

  • celador2

They are working overtime to set the stage and determine the agenda for the election 2012. The media are advocates with zeal. The media no longer cover news like speeches and issues of mayor presidential candidates; they manufature news from their own codes and quotas and determine that GOP is racist;.
The sub text to this is like the terror tactics used on FRC who support marriage. Be careful or be labeled a hate group or racist party. By throwing the Republicans off stride they help the sagging uninspired Obama campaign that has no positive upbeat message and sits in the gutter.

  • celador2

If GOP is racist then so must be theri message. So vote Obama -Biden 2012 is the media subtext in its ‘coverage’ of nominating convention.

  • celador2

Chalian was formerly at ABC. ABC and yahoo began a news partnership last summer that turned yahoo news into a mouthpirce for DNC.
i often posted on that open bias in articles comments section and that the article was an ad for WH or DNC.

  • celador2

He yelled at Priebus disgusting insults but when asked Priebus said he would return to MNBC. This forgive MSNBC and trest them as legitimate media must stop. They are enemies determined to destroy Republicans.

  • celador2

The Wisconsin recall demonstrations were about 100% white. The protesters were largely teachers whose ranks were made up in work force with many blacks and Hispanics. But for their own reasons the ones who protested were white. So were the students and public empoyees who showed up. Not one word from mainstream media abuot how white was the anti Walker crowd!
Who ran for Lt Governor in recall? A black union president of Firefighters. Was he a token used by public employee unions and DNC? No one ever charged him or them with tokenism or trying to fool the public despite his minorty status in recall protest.

If Joe Scarborough had had a shred of integrity left; he’d have said to Chris Matthews: “Kill Chris’s microphone. Chris, hear me now; you will either apologize to Reince and every Republican breathing right now or you will never appear on any show that has my name in the title again and I am not talking about one of those ‘if what you took what I said to mean…garbage apologies either. I am going to have them turn your microphone on and you have one minute to get the apology off or you will never speak on my air again.”

Race, gender, class, and abortion is all the left has. It is all academia has had for 40 years. The radical tenureds have now leaked into all the libby gen. pop.
Ignore them as best as possible, do not read, listen to, or watch the “MSM” which is failing more and more. Look at the tv audience for the Rep. conv. It is All Fox. WRITE MSM sponsors and tell them you will never buy a product shown on say ABC News. Money talks.
