Are You Ready For Some Football

Give politics a rest. How about some football? It’s a welcome relief from the daily grind of polls, politics, and the future. Consider this an open thread, but go for football, not politics if you can help yourself.

Yes, football. After the past two weeks, football finally started. Yesterday. Roll Tide! Go Broncos!

    Go team.

But at the end of the season, Alabama will be #1. LSU will be #2.

And the Big Ten champ — my conference of origin — will be shown to be hopelessly lacking.

  • Viet71

    But, hey.

The top four party schools are:

    West Virginia

    Ohio University

    University of Iowa

    University of Illinois

Maintain those burger and beer joints for undergrads. Burgers and beer make up for a lot of fumbles.

The NFL is Crony Capitalism at its best – taxpayer funded stadiums, a marxist structure of management, and corruption at every level.
The NCAA is actually even worse. Football is a great sport, but neither main venue for it is worth a damn

Great football weekend. The Volunteers won big. Not a huge NFL fan, but I love Peyton. Yea Broncos.

    And Roll Tide!

Peyton wuz robbed of the Heisman he deserved but QBed my beloved Colts to a Super Bowl victory. That said, The USC founded in 1801 has beaten Dawgs, Vols and Gators for two straight years, now has a second string QB that can play Spurrier’s Fun & Gun, has a Top Three D, according to ESPN’s Wizards of Smart is one of the seven teams in the US with the talent to win it all, and beat a certain Crimson Tide the last time we met. See also Razorback probs, amd this gamecock thinks even LSU can’t stop us from playing for it all in the Georgia Dome…2-0 and bring on UAB…

Kiffen is a loathesome individual, and yes, there are at least two USC’s and I’ll bet at least one alum, of the USC that is mainly an academic school at which a DeVine Gameock matriculated, killed two white people, (I have never missed a math question, yet decided to make a living on words…go figure), albeit not in Brentwood. But seriously, I suspect that w/i 36 months, Jawjans will be reminded that only it was a Dooley that brought them a Herschel!

I don’t think it’s LSU you have to be worried about. Alabama might not lose a single game the way they look.

I don’t know why everyone keeps thinking the Packers are going to win the Superbowl this year. Did any one pay attention to last year’s 49ers. They ONLY lacked Wide Recievers and they went out and got dim some. Same nasty tough defense and same nasty tough running game. I would like to see them work Randy Moss into the game more, there were times yesterday where a deep ball down the field to Moss could have opened up the game some more. Harbaugh is conserverative with his game though and at this rate I am just glad to see a much improved 49ers then what I have seen the last decade.

Packers issue isn’t offense, their defense hasn’t improved all that much and they are going to have a tough time of it until they do improve it.

I love the kicker’s face when he made it it was priceless.

The ref’s some calls for both sides were horrible but for the most part they balanced out. I thnk they are a bit too flag happy though.

USC can beat Florida, our QBs are young and learning on the fly. Running back is great and the defense is great but the passiing game is still stuck in 2nd gear. Decent game against the Aggies can a good test. TN is the biggie for the Gators.
As for beating Alabama, Oh I don’t know if there is anyone out there they can beat them. They just flat clobbered Michigan with that defense of thugs. They look VERY good this year out the gate and have everything going for them. Great QB, Running back and defense.

Quite we want them all to think we aren’t going to win the whole thing! they are in disilluisional state with this Packers gonna win stuff

Peyton lost to the first defensive player to win the Heisman, Charles Woodson and the running QB for USC completed 20 passes in a row against Missouri!
