EDITOR OF REDSTATE

Obama’s Worship Leader #VetObama

Consider this — Ryan Lizza of the New Yorker wrote a lengthy profile of Michele Bachmann’s religious views and, in the process, got major portions of Bachmann’s theology flat out wrong. She’s Lutheran. He painted her to be part of a fringe cult, in the process misdefining basic theological terms.

Then there was Bill Keller of the New York Times. He thinks candidates for President should be grilled on their religion. Except, he’s only doing this now, after Barack Obama got elected President.

The Huffington Post declares Paul Ryan has, of all things, a Catholic problem.

Now, NBC News has run a special introducing Americans to Mormons. Not in 2010, when Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was running for re-election, but now. Meet the Press felt compelled to get Mitt Romney to discuss it. What’s amazing to me is how the media pretends it thoroughly vetted Barack Obama’s relationship with Jeremiah Wright when, in reality, we probably know more about Sarah Palin as a Vice Presidential nominee from 2008 than we do about Barack Obama.

The media claims it vetted the Wright connection, when it reality it did not. Either Barack Obama was using Jeremiah Wright to claim some grounding in faith when he did not have what he claimed, or Barack Obama was cool with Jeremiah Wright’s theology, which as you’ll recall was important enough to Obama to use in the title of Obama’s second autobiography, published when he was gearing up for his first presidential run.

If the media wants to explore Mitt Romney’s faith, perhaps it is time we finally explore Barack Obama’s. Please feel free to point your friends toward the video Ben Howe put together on this topic.

Perhaps, while we are at it, we could vet the media’s religion. I believe most of them belong to the First Church of United Hypocrisy.

My Pastor had a very pertinent message yesterday. He talked about how religion is secularizing, trying to accommodate the society, instead of being Bible based.

I tend to agree. This is not about accepting all sinners; that we must do. It is instead that we must accommodate in our religion ideas like killing of babies born from botched abortions, abortion, premarital sex, teen and younger sex, acceptance of homosexuality as an alternate lifestyle, then in clergy, now I saw an article this weekend where pedophilia is becoming “acceptable” and is being given the euphemistic name of “intergenerational intimacy”. We, as Christians, have to accept this, or we are “right wingers”, people of limited intelligence, etc.

lf you want to look at how all of this started, it has been a slippery slope which started with the dramatic increase of sex outside of marriage during WWII and carrying on into the 1950′s and 1960′s. Of course, churches like the American Catholic Church, UC of Christ, Methodists, and American Episcopalian appear to have been leaders in all of these movements. The concept that the state is the moral compass and the giver of charity are other abberations.

The problem with this message hasn’t changed and won’t change. Though Rev Wright is a freakish whacko with extremist racist ideals, the public at large doesn’t obtain their information about candidates from any source that will actually tell them the truth about Wright.

We can lament the MSM’s clear bias, borne entirely of advocacy for progressive government, however, the truth will not be told by them no matter how much they are attacked for their lack of reportage. The message simply isn’t going to reach 75% + of the voting public, not in a way they deem credible. What little they hear about it is always accompanied by the caveat that those telling the story are extremists, bent on twisting the truth. Goebbels was right, if you tell the lie often enough it is accepted as the truth.

I don’t advocate not trying, I just don’t think we can rely on the truth getting out. Much as Romney isn’t my favorite choice, I do think he’s smart to stick to the economic aspect of the campaign issues, allowing those of us active in information sharing on the internet to approach the “turn off” issues.

Here’s a question for both our faithful readers and, perhaps, the media: If BHO was born and raised as a Muslim and then converted at some undefined point in time to Christianity, then, according to Sharia law he is an apostate and should be killed by any Muslim who finds the opportunity to do the deed.

    Quran (4:89)
    - “They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the
same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in
the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize
them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or
    helpers from their ranks.”

Romney’s probably going to lose. His nice-guy approach to running against Obama has little chance. Negative campaigning works.

Even more disturbing is the republican party’s fear of calling a spade a spade. Except he doesn’t have to call anybody anything. The words of Obama and his comrades over the years are more than enough to hammer the notion home. The focus of the convention should’ve been that they must get this marxist out of office. Instead, they made sure everyone knew they liked Obama, but just disagreed with his policies. Our side has been afraid to expose the truth or always soft peddles it, and as a result, nearly half the country is full-bore opposed to liberty, and a good portion of them aren’t even aware of it.

As Rush Limbaugh has said many times, the real job is to keep teaching. But our side hasn’t just failed in that responsiblity, they’ve hidden from it. They could have had no better forum than the republican convention to began again. Instead, insiders, lobbyists, and career politicians who have a vested interest in keeping the status quo won over once again.

From Andy McCarthy’s excellent article on Friday: Today’s Republicans are worried about what it looks like. Winning is secondary. What matters most is that they not appear too mean on a stage they’ve allowed their bare-knuckles opponents to set. Their consultants tell them: “It’s not what you stand for; it’s how you get to 50 percent plus one. So soften your edges, drop the philosophy crap, and if you need to show the media some backbone, find a conservative to bash.”

He couldn’t be more right. Breitbart would be disappointed; no one on our side has the courage to do it. And when it was mentioned early on that some PACs might attempt to do that, Romney ran to Obama’s defense immediately. We’re about to lose our country forever and Republicans are afraid to truly vet Obama.

Should be obvious, Democrat leaders have unilaterally rammed home the official religious line of the MSM platform despite protests from the radical faithful conventioneers and the media nows sees it as their mission to define the politically correct version of “God” and religion.
Wright is a prophet of said religion and therefore protected from question by existing PC dogma, so look for Wright’s influence in the final doctrine along with suggestions made by Rahm’s pick for the panel, Louis Farrakhan. Since these two actively promote a militant, racist rhetoric aimed at whites, Jews, gays, and those of any race not toeing the line it would seem that the MSM has a difficult task.
My guess, they will move toward a doctrine centered around climate change and wealth distribution with service being defined as attacking other religions despite the hypocrisy.
PS: The comment above was written in jest, yet I find it hard not to pull a Biden and dare the fact checkers to prove me wrong.

kowalski; if anyone thinks I’m exaggerating about tooth-brushing in public schools, please disabuse yourself of that notion… The same public health cost argument can be made for providing dental care facilities to kids as is currently being made by chief NYC nanny Bloomberg in limiting the size of soft drinks, banning trans-fats and using behavior modification techniques to coerce mothers to breast feed; i.e., why should Medicaid get saddled with prohibitive future dental costs when preventative measures are available?

good grief. sorry I had to read this just as I leave for the day…(and yes, Big Brother, I did remember to first ‘brusha, brusha, brusha’ lol)

InAsMuch as this should be informative to Our Vaunted Citizenry, sadly, as time marches on, it is just more backround noise. Ben does Us, The Readers here a service and I value it, on this fine Monday morning.
    * But This is A Citizenry being accustomed/conditioned more and more to ‘least common denominators’, bread and circuses and Orwell’s NewSpeak, writ large.
    * A Citizenry, who upon going to college more often than not that finds it’s youth totally unprepared for their tasks and in need of re-education {i e: Remedial Instruction} before they even get started. Our youth finding they are being fed lies about how “smart” they are and discovering The Cheating started early.
    * A Citizenry founded on discourse and open public debate now reduced to foreswearing same , as it seems just too ‘distasteful’ to many otherwise Moral Americans.
    * A Citizenry seemingly unwilling to examine, or request, even minor {forget major} facts about someone they are hiring to represent their Best Interests. In Barry’s case , alarms were given, and info was available in 2007 and earlier but how many paid one scintilla of attention? Since “all politicians are crooks”, what seeming difference did it make to ‘Boobus Americanii’ , when American idol and The Game were on and so much more enjoyable??
We ,as Americans have seemingly forgotten What We Were Given,
{“…A Republic, Sir, if you can keep it…”} and the signs are everywhere.
Not for nothing has this upcoming election become ‘our most important’.
A Poll is about to be taken.
The questions are simple. Is “As-Is”, good enough for you? Is More of It ,O K ?
How many care enough or have been affected enough to Start America down a different , more productive and moral, more lawful road?
This is what I wonder, each and every day, and have since 11/2010.
Thanks to R S for this site. Freedom and Liberty to all of you .

Obama a christian? Hell no. Any objective evaluation leads anyone but a fuzzy thinker to the knowledge that he is not. There are videos of him mocking Jesus. There is a video of him saying “my muslim faith’” . God was taken out of the DNC platform. There are several books, articles and information available that shows he is not. Most anti Israel president ever. Only a fool or an ostrich would believe he is a christian.
