Barack Obama’s cowardly statement on the Libyan embassy assault.

See if you can figure out what is missing from Obama’s statement on the Libya embassy attacks.

I strongly condemn the outrageous attack on our diplomatic facility in Benghazi, which took the lives of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens. Right now, the American people have the families of those we lost in our thoughts and prayers. They exemplified America’s commitment to freedom, justice, and partnership with nations and people around the globe, and stand in stark contrast to those who callously took their lives.

I have directed my Administration to provide all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya, and to increase security at our diplomatic posts around the globe. While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.

On a personal note, Chris was a courageous and exemplary representative of the United States. Throughout the Libyan revolution, he selflessly served our country and the Libyan people at our mission in Benghazi. As Ambassador in Tripoli, he has supported Libya’s transition to democracy. His legacy will endure wherever human beings reach for liberty and justice. I am profoundly grateful for his service to my Administration, and deeply saddened by this loss.

The brave Americans we lost represent the extraordinary service and sacrifices that our civilians make every day around the globe. As we stand united with their families, let us now redouble our own efforts to carry their work forward.

That’s right: any indication that we’re going to do anything to punish the attackers; or the elements of the various societies that harbor them; or, indeed, much of anything at all.  I don’t need the President to tell me that we feel bad about Americans being targeted and murdered.  I do need him to tell me how he plans to make sure that nobody sane ever, ever, EVER thinks to do it again.  That’s Barack Obama’s job; and right now, he’s flunking it.

No doubt this is a serious event. I am glad there a cool heads in the Administration who will be able to deal with aftermath. I would imagine the fledgling governments in Libya and Egypt are embarrassed, if not horrified, by their inability to protect diplomats. I don’t expect the President to tell us what he will do. I think we have all seen him in action when it comes to Al Quaida. I would guess there will be many malfactors looking over their shoulder for the foreseeable future.

Obama just finished his statement, read with all the enthusiasm and strong resolve of a high school Freshman reading from a chemistry book.

He took no questions from reporters, who were crestfallen at the missed opportunity to ask him how he felt about that mean Mitt Romney’s statement, which, they were sure Romney regretted. Since people died later and all.

In other news, Obama stands by his decision to snub Benjamin Netanyahu and to act as the post-monologue set-up stooge for the hilariously hilarious David Letterman on his late night television show next week.

I just wanted to see who would fall into this trap. There is no way the American people would approve of sending troops to three new countries since we still have to get out of Afghanistan and we are a country tired of being engaged in indefinite pointless conflicts. As a member of a family with a number of relatives in the military, I don’t want us to send them back into harms way without a strategy. Romney has stated that he wants to attack Iran and has indicated that he wants troops in Libya, Syria and Egypt, and even if we had no sequestration, I have no idea how we would be able to manage that. For better or worse, we have promoted democracy in that region in the face of all of you Saddam and Kadaffi lovers, and diplomacy is the only choice we have.

Ultimately, the root of the problem is not Islamists, for they are but the ones who are most overtly taking advantage of the situation, but with Obama. His weakness, pliability, and submissiveness created this situation. It is the same weakness that led him to promise the Russians “flexibility.”

Machiavelli said that it is better to be feared than to be loved. With Obama, we have neither.

Yes, but it protects the leader.
AND we must all protect Dear Leader

My take in all bad situations is, what lesson do I learn so that the event is not repeated — i.e., is avoided?

If I’m in the State Department (hello, Hillary), the lesson I take is, don’t rely on unreliable local security. Except State shouldn’t have to learn that lesson the hard way in today’s world.

Obama, he’s an amateur at such stuff. Just another day politicking

I love how the libtards are pushing the positive button on lib statements.

The Iranians knew Reagan was serious. That’s why the hostages were released just prior to his getting into office. The Islamicists know libs aren’t, and that’s why good men die.

Rubble don’t make trouble! That be my type of foreign engagement!

Seriously, we have spent enough blood on the cavemen. When this sort of crap happens, cut their funds, bomb them hard, and tell them not to f with us again, or it will be worse. We don’t have the resources to play nicer nice. Its time to revert to a more primitive time – aka WWII.

When you hear that Libya was seemingly cooordinated and The Safe House was the one attacked, you wonder….
Whe you hear that Egypt told us the malefactors were coming and did nothing to stop them, you wonder…….
When I see pengu1n’s initial three sentences as comments, there is no need to wonder.
Look no further, he’s clueless. Period, end/finis.

I love the part where you say “…I have no idea…”.
In this, you are 110% correct. You don’t………
