FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

John Kerry Is An Ignoramus. But You Knew That.

To me one of the most amazing traits of the Democrat party is its insistence on promoting to positions of power and authority utter nincompoops and then expecting everyone to ignore the fact that they are nincompoops. Cases in point: Alan Grayson (D-FL) and Anthony Weiner (D-NY). One needn’t have listened to or read more than a paragraph spoken or written by either of these men to know you were dealing with a mental deficient. The same with John Kerry.

John Kerry got his start by manufacturing a heroic military career involving wounds(really? Three Purple Hearts and not a single day in the hospital?) and personal combat (no, shooting a badly wounded enemy at point blank range is called an “execution” and is a war crime, you don’t deserve a Silver Star for it). He went on to sell out his comrades, fake throwing his medals away, testified boldly as any fabulist has ever testified on Vietnam, and generally supported every communist advance against the west. As far as I can tell, his only real success in life has been to marry someone with oodles of money.

Anyway, John Kerry is what passes for an “elder statesman” in the Democrat party.

Last weekend, shortly before the Obama Administration’s feckless, if not vacuous, foreign policy began to melt down John Kerry published an article in Foreign Policy magazine detailing why the Democrats are to be trusted with US foreign policy and Republicans aren’t despite all evidence to the contrary.

As a metaphor for Kerry’s entire life the article starts with a huge lie

I grew up in a Senate and foreign-policy world where we treated as gospel the notion that — as Sen. Arthur Vandenberg famously said — “politics stops at the water’s edge.”

It is hard to view Kerry’s antics since 2001 as anything but a calculated effort to damage Republicans no matter when or where the opportunity arose. He was part of the cabal that supported the efforts by John Murtha (Fast festering sack of pus – PA) to increase US deaths in Iraq in order to win political points. His “slow bleed” strategy.

His essay ends with an inadvertent truth arrived at only by a tortuous path of lies.

Obama’s foreign-policy record offers a preview of what a future Democratic foreign policy would look like. There is a willingness to make tough decisions. He is willing to work with allies and others who can help us pursue our interests. And he is committed to using American values as a compass as he makes consequential decisions. The president will continue to meet new challenges like those we will confront in Asia, as well as old challenges in the Middle East, South Asia, and against al Qaeda, with clarity and focus.

While Obama’s foreign policy is indeed a preview to the dystopia a continued Democrat foreign policy would entail, it is hardly for the reasons that Kerry enumerates.

1. Obama’s foreign policy, like everything else his administration has encountered, is characterized by a failure to make decisions but rather tries to take credit for events over which it has no control. We are now four years into this administration and we don’t have a budget. Just as he has economically, in the foreign policy arena he has also been asleep at the switch.

2. He has ignored our national interests for the sake of fleeting headlines. He turned Libya and Egypt over to hostile powers just so he could grab some credit for the fatuous “Arab Spring.”

3. We are scorned as weak and ineffectual because we are.

4. Our national values are traded away daily as the administration has demonstrated in its utterly craven conduct in Egypt and Libya.

5. Iran continues to pursue nuclear weapons and Obama will not meet with the Israeli Prime Minister though scheduling doesn’t seem to be a problem when it comes to toadying to the Muslim Brotherhood.

6. Japan and China face off in the South China Sea only because China knows an America under Barack Obama would never defend our long time ally in the case of conflict.

We have not been this weak and disrespected abroad since Carter regime. We can only hope it comes to an end soon.

I think that you really mean ignoranus, someone who is both ignorant and an a-hole.

  • CarolT

If, God Forbid, Obama is reelected, this jerk is looking for the job of Secretary of State. I hope he prematurely steps down from his senate seat, he has been my senator my entire voting life. I vote for myself rather than cast a vote for this jerk. Once in a while he’ll have a challenger but MA voters keep voting for the incumbents. No one has realized that the dem party of JFK is dead and they think it’s the working man’s party here.
I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have tried to tell people Republicans are not for the rich, but you can’t help it when the people are too stupid to listen, never mind understand.

  • greyeagle

Can you just imagine this jerk as President. Obama and Kerry are both liars and blowhards. Must be why they give each other compliments.

  • Next93

They have to keep reelecting him in order to keep him in DC instead of Boston.
I’ve always found it amusing that if you commit a felony in MA (like, say, manslaugher or treason), if you’re poor you go to prison for life, and if you’re rich you’re sentenced to the Senate for life.

  • CarolT

Do you mean Teddy K? I was stuck with him too for my voting life. One local radio show host always points out the anniversary of Chappaquiddick. I never cast a vote for him either. I cannot believe that people in this state continued to reelect a murderer and adulterer. One more thing, let’s not forget he was in FL in his shirt, I believe when William Kennedy Smith was accused of rape, Ted was there too.

This is what was needed. Some humor to break the tension. I swear things have been getting waaay too nerve wracking lately. Mean spirited and tension filled .Romney’s poll numbers, the muslim/Islam/mid east/film/probation crisis, etal, have certainly taken their toll. To see ignoramus, nincompoops, AND fast festering sack of pus, all in the same diary – well, I gotta say it lightens the mood just a bit. Thank you Streiff.

  • jonedanger

John Kerry is not an ignoramus. He is an ignoranus. Stupid AND and an @sshole.

  • cwfoster

To quote Ronald Reagan “There you go again!” WHEN will we stop calling people ignorant and stupid, when they are treasonous and dishonest?

  • fredmatic1

To say John Kerry is ignorant, is to insult the truly ignorant. You do, though, need to take a good look at the Massachusetts track record for senators and congressmen. When looking at the politicians as self-serving and self-centered, one cannot neglect Barney Frank, but corrupt and dishonest need to be added to the working vocabulary also.

  • roguelephant

An @sshole is standard equipment on the model. It depends on how big it is and what it is used for.

  • herbster

And we thought Shrillery was a poor Sec/State? Lurch would be right up there with Meddling Halfbright. However, we must not be too quick to judge Mr. Ketchup. After all, he has some qualifications that fit him in nicely with the obambi administration. First and foremost, he knows how to lie. Let’s not forget that by listening to to his “Dreams of my service in Vietnam,” he came within an inch of being awarded the Medal of Honor – in fact, he could have been the first man in history to be awarded TWO Medals of Honor. And, I am turning blue holding my breath waiting for him to fulfill his promise to release his military records. I guess Mrs. Ketchup forgot to give hubby his allowance to pay (Massachusetts) taxes on his yacht, so he parked it in Rhode Island. Just a silly navigational error. Heaven help us all if this clown is nominated/appointed Sec/State.
No problem though, the repub RINO’s, the aisle crossers like McCain and his personal puppet Graham, along with Collins, Murkowski, etc., will vote “Aye.”

  • searcher0

what else do you expect from this total $h1t bag?for those who do not know, when kerry came back from vietnam he threw away his 3 purple hearts(which now he seems so proud of), testified to congress against his fellow seamen that he served(sic) along side with the vilest lies, then has the audacity to cry foul when his patriotism is questioned( while questioning others patriotism), then tries to pass himself off as an honorable veteran who proudly served his country. he and his ilk need to be run out of washington on a rail and hopefully never seen again.

  • streiff

not quite right. Kerry threw away someone else’s medals but gave the impression that they were his. Even in his protest he was an utter poseur.

  • 2warabnvet

There have been brave individuals who have been awarded two Medals of Honor. (Not to confuse the term “honor” with scumball Kerry, but for the sake of accuracy.) But, Tom Custer (Yes, Grorge’s brother), Smedley Butler, and Dan Daily are among those who have earned double awards. Daily really should have three, but authorities balked at that, and gave him a DSC instead.

  • celador2

The buzz has been that John Kerry might serve as Sec State term2. But what about UN ambassador Susan Rice who is taking the deat by insisting the Libyan attack that murdered four US diplomats was not preplanned and was spntaneous outrage about the You tube trailer?
Neither Kerry nor Rice see Arab Spring and its violent hatred as an issue of concern for US security. An Obama win term 2 will be more of the same apoligia for chaos in foreign policy.
If Arab Spring backed by Obama and Democrats produced the al queda attack or made ir easier then all Obama policy needs to be examined closely for similar security flaws. Arab Spring was media hyped and created based on mob actions 2011. The reality was a junta in Egyot and the Brotherhood who did not protect Copts, women and tourists as Mubarak had. Camp David accords are in play and not respected in Egypt As a result long regional peace that allowed so much to flourish may be sacrificed to Arab Spring. That scenario need not be if we elect Romney- Ryan.
If Obama is returned term2 Camp David peace as we have known it goes down, fallout from Arab Spring. The people around Obama are too blind to see.

If this gang were really just stupid, we could at least train them to clean restrooms or vacuum floors or sweep streets. They are evil-thinking men who are insidiously playing any games they can to stay in power, gain more power & control, etc. Narcissistic children who think that all any issue needs is a soft pat on the head & more money. No discipline, no self-control, no moral standards…

  • tnfriendofcoal101368

Is it an urban legend but didn’t I hear one of his wounds was in the uh shall we say Blessed Assurance. A wound that would indicate that Kerry was courageously beating a hasty retreat???

  • scubadiver49er

With Barry’s foreign policies these days, why wouldn’t, God forbid, the Chinese take over Formosa like they have always wanted to. Barry would do abslolutely nothing but whine about it. And the Chinese virtually having zero % of having any retaliation for the move. “What, ME worry?” (MAD MAgazine) The Chinese are probably more afraid of the “Big Bad Wolf” than the USA. Maybe the only things stopping them is our trillion dollar debt to them that wouldn’t get repaid and they’d lose their biggest customer.

  • tnfriendofcoal101368

To heck w/Formosa – I am worried about them taking over Japan at this point.

  • dougrodrigues

Kerry was, and still is a narccistic self-serving liar. Politics attracts many people such as he.

  • paco12348

John Kerry is another poster child for TERM LIMITS.

  • searcher0

sorry, but wrong, i live in MA and it is common knowledge that kerry threw away HIS medals, an accusation that kerry himself will not deny.

  • streiff

may be common knowledge in Massachusetts but it is completely false. Massachusetts is also full of idiots who will believe anything. From ABC News

“I’m proud of my medals. I always was proud of them,” he [Kerry] told Jennings in December, adding that he had only thrown away his “ribbons” and the medals of two other veterans who could not attend the protest.

Don’t pull this harebrained stunt again.

  • searcher0

you should really speak on thing that you know, i, for one am not an idiot, and since i turned 18 in 1983, i have followed politics with a passion and know full well how the mainstream media distorts fact, misleads and outright lies to protect their democrat masters. the true ‘idiot’ is any one that would use a quote from MSM to prove their point, knowing full well that the average person distrusts at best the veracity of the MSM.
