UPDATED (Video Added): White House Blocked DOJ’s Inspector General from Pursuing a Lead on Fast and Furious
By now, you’ve probably heard about the report released by Michael Horowitz, the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, that supposedly absolved Eric Holder from blame on the case. Our own Moe Lane has put up a post with his thoughts on the report. However, it has just come out that the White House blocked the Inspector General of the DOJ from pursuing a lead in their investigation. According to Horowitz, it was a lead they wanted to follow, too.
The Right Scoop has video confirming this, but it isn’t embeddable. I’ll add a video here when I find one that is.
By the way, Blake Farenthold is one of the class of 2010. He knocked off Democrat Solomon Ortiz in Texas’ 27th district. Elections matter, folks.
UPDATE: Video has surfaced on Congressman Farenthold’s Youtube account. The video is of his entire Q & A with the IG, which is worth watching, but the relevant portion starts at about 1:42 in.
