HOLY COW!!!

image

Mitt Romney’s operating system has clearly been updated to ass kicker mode. He drew out Barack Obama’s thin skin and petulant side. He wouldn’t look at Romney. He stumbled. He took more time than Romney because he stumbled over his uh’s and um’s.

The professor got beat by the Governor. Where the heck did that come from?! James Carville says Romney looked like he wanted to be there and Obama did not want to be there. Yep.

Stand up! no equivocations necessary, these children (and adults) need a voice, and I’m happy you spoke for them.

  • antisesquipedalion

Hey Chris Matthews, that stuff running down your leg ? it ain’t a “thrill”

  • http://www.examiner.com/x-1597-Charlotte-Law--Politics-Examiner Mike gamecock DeVine

Yes, it was a great debate and I was actually kind a proud and pitying of poor Obama at times as he tried his best to defend himself and liberalism.

  • wayfarin

i think maher might be watching his 1 million dollar donation go to… nothing in 90 minutes.

  • devan95

Yes, and Fast & Furious falls under foreign policy as well…..Wish someone from Univision was the moderator!

  • jamesm

same here…better than Reagan-Carter which was amazing.

  • APA Guy

Best comment of the night…bar none :)

    Classic

yes he does have an answer, drone the bastards who killed 4 Americans. they’ll “find” them just in time for the election

  • http://politicaljunkiehandbook.com/ derekcrane

Obama cannot be looking forward to the foreign policy debate.

I feel sorry for Michelle Obama. It’s their anniversery tonight and I think Barry might have some performance issues.

  • APA Guy

Oh no joke…THIS was his moment, and he got whipped soundly. Wait until Romnet hammers him on Libya and Egypt…epic won’t even begin to describe it.

  • americanmale

I’m not smoking anything. Seniors will spend 3 hours shopping for the lowest price on a blue plate special yet they won’t even entertain the idea of shopping for medical services under a voucher system. They’d rather keep things status quo and finance convenience on the backs of the younger generation via printed money courtesy of Obama. Think AARP.

  • devan95

Wish this were the last debate instead of the first…..But WE’LL TAKE IT!

  • jamesm

    a night to remember

I was rooting for Newt in the primaries knowing he would take Barry apart in the debates, but Mitt just proved he can hit just as hard and make just an effective a case.

  • stumpy

Romney kicked tail! The best debate format I’ve seen by far. Lehrer did an excellent job. He basically served up topics and let have at it, yet it still was civil and structured. I didn’t remember Lehrer was there most of the time, which is how it should be. He even allowed the candidates to drive beyond the bounds without pitching a hissy fit. Most of the moderators are more concerned with getting there own face time. This is the only format we need. No more youtube crap. The videos suck and the format takes too long. If Lehrer keeps that up, I vote for him to handle them all. I expecyed him to bat left, but he never even got on the field, he just kept the clock.

  • antisesquipedalion

i’ve never been a great fan of Romney, i reluctantly watched tonight, my plan was to hold for as long as i could , and would shut it off if i started to get pissed off. but “HOLY SCHNIKIES” !!!!
i will vote for Romney, but will leave the clothes pin at home

  • APA Guy

    Axlerod, is that you?

  • devan95

Let’s not get overconfident….remember, Bill Clinton did this to his own citizens and still got re-elected: They
want it erased from history but this memorial site will remain forever: http://www.wizardsofaz.com/waco/waco2.html

And if that weren’t bad enough, Clinton’s thugs then stuck a machine gun in the
face of a 5 year old boy and sent him to the communist gulag known as Cuba: http://www.therealcuba.com/elian_gonzalez.htm

  • golffan1963

I’ve seen a couple of comments and tweets about the reaction on MSNBC. I’m on Fox News, so I’m not watching MSNBC. Is it really that bad? Are they being critical of Obama?

  • Bill S

You don’t have a clue as to what you are talking about. Seniors are overwhelmingly conservative and will vote for Romney. The latest polling lags with the Obama convention bounce. They will come back and they will vote GOP – just like they always have.

  • westcoastpatriette

We can finally thank the lame stream media for something. They created a weak wimp by shielding him from any criticism for 31/2 years. Thanks media. Your chickens have come home to roost.

  • http://www.examiner.com/x-1597-Charlotte-Law--Politics-Examiner Mike gamecock DeVine

He ain’t even that governor from Utah!

  • APA Guy

And now, even the media is lamenting Obama’s butt-whipping at the hands of Romney. Even Ed Schultz is saying it…which is telling.

  • sanderson12

it’s all just an act. Goldman Sachs obviously wants to replace obama with romney so that obama can go over and play the part of the Mahdi in the middle east. Obama has no intention of winning the reelection and why should he? Both Obama and Romney work for the new world order afterall. Goldman Sachs simply wants Romney to finish off the U.S.’s conversion into the North American Union using immigration and to finish annihilating citizen rights by using Obamneycare and NDAA.

  • Dave_A

That, and Mitt needs to hit on ‘YOU will pay for Obama’s programs’…

If Obama raises taxes (eg, cuts deductions) for oil companies, the oil companies don’t pay for that, YOU DO.

If Obama cuts payments to doctors and insurance companies, THEY don’t pay it – YOU DO when your insurance & copays go up!

He needs to drive this fact (which he definitely knows, as a businessman) home: NO BUSINESS PAYS FOR HIGHER COST OF GOVERNMENT – they bill their customers for that!

  • americanmale

I think you need to read more clearly…My comments are very pro-conservative comments. I’m saying what should be said….let the market and competition define healthcare, not the convenience of government….as so many seniors so desire.

  • Shiori_Uyoku

Sad truth is – Valarie Jarrett really keeps Obama totally sheltered from any news he might dislike. He really has no idea what’s going on, let alone economics, history or how gov’t works.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Edward-Argetsinger/100000377338096 Michael Edward Argetsinger

It disenheartend me the way McCain rolled over and let Obama run over him. But Romney watching what happened that time may have given him the spine to do what he did tonight

  • Shiori_Uyoku

She’s no ego soother. Prior to running for the Illinois Senate, she nearly divorced him for not being successful at anything. Not exactly a ‘stand by your man’ type of gal is she.

  • runner12

    What crash?

  • http://lvjohnston.blogspot.com/ lvjohnston

I caught the presence of someone comfortable in their own skin in Mr. Romney’s body language as well.

The intensity tonight was not surprising – he knew full well that he had to bring his “A game”. I do think the most difficult part was to keep the opposition guessing what he would do tonight. Based on the primary debates, they knew they were on the losing end regardless. They have been giving him faint praise in the run up to tonight’s debate to lower expectations, but were caught flatfooted and did *not* see this coming at all.

As anyone who has been party to intense negotiations will confirm, don’t be the first one to blink.

    Obama blinked…

Well done, Mr. Romney and great post, Erick!

It really does help to see your Disqus commenting history beyond RS.

    Ta ta.

I think @MittRomney has been playing possum this whole time to avoid giving the MSM the opportunity to control the narrative. He played it perfectly by telling a bold and decisive story straight to the American people. The #GOP didn’t win tonight…America won! #BARRYOMUSTGO

  • 1OrdinaryCitizen

I loved it when Lehrer tried to call time on him and O said he had 5 seconds left before he was interrupted. Then he proceeded to go on for another minute babbling unintelligible nonsense just to show Lehrer who was boss.

  • LUV2SKICO

Tonight Romney drove to the airport with Obama strapped to the roof of his car.

  • clowngirl

I always thought he’d win ( developed a grudging respect for Romney’s skills as a debater during the primary ) but didn’t start thinking it might be a massacre until after the 60 minutes interview –

If Romney exceeds expectations as President as much as he’s been doing (for the last month or so IMO ) as a candidate – he’s going to be one of the great ones. And just in time!

  • antisesquipedalion

? remember what Corky , in the movie “waiting for Guffman”, said, when he was snubbed by the city council ? ” i’m going home and bite my pillow” et tu BARRY ?

  • antisesquipedalion

for me, the best moment was when Mitt countered Obama’s “we give Exxon 2 B / yr” , by pointing out that Obama has given 96 B to “green” companies. Obama cowered and had no response. as they say on TV— PRICELESS !!

  • antisesquipedalion

    who’s Newt ? ;)

  • antisesquipedalion

won’t find a bigger “Newtophile” than me -”who’s Newt”

  • mean gene

Now I’m hearing some conservatives saying, “Oh no! Now Little Barry is going to wake up and pull out all stops at the next debate!” Puhleese! All he does is lie. What’s he going to do next time; lie with more energy and passion? Romney showed last night that he will stand up to Little Barry’s lies and throw them back in his face. Little Barry was exposed last night as the complete and utter fool that many of us always knew he was. He’s got nothing. Little Barry’s house of cards came crashing down on top of him and there’s not a damn thing that he, Valarie Jarrett, or any of the state run media can do to rebuild it. He is toast.

  • pac_NY

Obama has been completely unprepared to lead this nation. After four years he couldn’t even lead a debate. Unfortunately too many will still vote for his re-election.

  • tnfriendofcoal101368

I am starting to worry about Chris Tingles and Big Eddie – this can’t be good for their health.

  • tnfriendofcoal101368

I’ll say it again – I don’t need to know what is going on in Chris Matthews’ undergarments and I really wish he’d quit putting that on television. Though I did notice, Madcow had a look on her face like she had stepped in poo????

  • MichMike

Can you explain how the southern border has remained open for 30 years despite complete “bi-partisan” agreement that it should be secured?
