The major trouble with trying to talk about Joe Kennedy III as a candidate is… oh, heck, let the Sean Bielat campaign explain it:

That’s it, in a nutshell: there’s nothing there except the ‘Kennedy’ and the ‘III.’ If this kid was named ‘Patrick Dolan’ or something then he wouldn’t be the Democratic nominee for MA-04 – and this is not even remotely a revelation. Sean Bielat even said it to Kennedy’s face: “I don’t think in any other state, in any other district in the country people would consider you qualified for this office.”

 

Now, I freely admit to being a partisan hack, but I have to admit: jumping from working in a county DA’s office to US Congressman in one go is a bit of a stretch. And it’s not mean to point out that the major reason why (Joe) Kennedy III thinks that he can do it is because of that last name. And while it is mean to note that the Kennedy clan have been throwing up horrific Members of Congress lately, it becomes less so when you realize that the latest iteration is, at best, an amiable drifter who can’t even keep up with his own website.

All of which is to say: if you’ve got the resources, throw some Sean Bielat‘s way.

    Wow, it’s like how the family business falls apart in the third generation because the gene pool just cant keep up with the rigors of, well, whatever it is that made the patriarch great….

    … and btw, if you want to use a generic Irish name you COULD choose Ryan. :-)

    Sean Bielat has the experience as a Marine and a Businessman working in the private sector creating jobs, Joe Kennedy III is unqualified . He is trying to ride in on his name and money. Sean can win this! People are not excited about Joe but they are about Sean!     The main thing that made the Patriarch great was that he made millions of dollars by manipulating stock prices (before being named the first chairman of the SEC) and bootlegging when he then used to fund the campaigns of Democrats, most notably FDR.

    He did, however father at least one and perhaps two sons, one of which did achieve greatness in his own rite and the other who might have had he not died in WWII.

    I know it is Mass. but seriously Joe K III is an absolute joke. I watched a debate and he just repeated himself the whole time it was laughable.

    That a man of Sean Bielat’s experience and character could lose this race is a disgrace on the people who would vote for a name over a veteran and man of Sean’s qualifications.
