VIDEO: So, Who Denied Security to the Benghazi Consulate?

Last night, during the second Presidential debate, President Obama and Mitt Romney engaged in one of the most heated exchanges of the campaign yet.  When asked by an audience member about the lack of enhanced security in Benghazi prior to the attack on the Libyan embassy, President Obama stammered through a lame response that ultimately failed to address the question. When Romney attempted to address the President’s inconsistencies in his excuse making, the moderator managed to forget her position and came to the aid of the President.

Last week, the Vice President took the initiative of blaming the intelligence community for the failure of security; a debate it seems the President didn’t take the time to watch or he would’ve known exactly who to throw under the bus. Considering the communication skills displayed by the President last night, it should come as no surprise that the Vice President was unable to convey his excuse to the President before the subject of Libya came up again.

    The
Libya government warned the US government of Bengazi attacks 3 days
prior to it happening. There was an Al Qaeda video prior to 9/11 this
    year vowing revenge.

Your seem to understand that Libya is a dangerous place. Bengazi was
attacked in May! The mystery is why the Obama administration didnt
take typical and normal precautions on the basis of that fact that was
known by all knowledgeable observers prior. Their failure led to the
loss of 4 lives. It took Obama a whole month to admit the obvious thing
    that he is ultimately responsible.

Be in fact he was very IRRESPONSIBLE for the past month. He falsely
blamed a video on multiple occassions – him, Susan Rice and Jay Carney
all pushed that false claim – and has refused to answer the questions
of what he knew about the Libya attack and when he knew it.

    This is a revealing reminder:

“American diplomats were warned of possible violent unrest in Benghazi
three days before the killings of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and
three members of his team, Libyan security officials say.

The claim came as the country’s interim President, Mohammed
el-Megarif, said his government had information that the attack on the
US consulate had been planned by an Islamist group with links to
al-Qa’ida and with foreigners taking part.

However, the American ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice, insisted that
the killings had resulted from a demonstration against a film about the
Prophet Mohamed, replicating protests in Cairo, which had been
“hijacked” and got out of control.”

Al Qaeda is alive. Our ambassador is dead.

I would love to get a link to the complete Rose Garden statement. Everyone is excerpting portions to support their view.

Actually, I believe the head of the State Department does deserve maximum blame for not providing the appropriate security. How on earth could Hillery not provide security in a volatile situation as this was unless she was told not to? This is unprofessional and beyond question. This was the anniversary of 9/11 for goodness sakes with many prior attacks – not sure how this could happen except for massive Government failures.

Now it was compounded by the cover up attempted by the Administration. For goodness sakes, their actions are despicable! The President and the State Department continue to lie about it and it can get worse.

Security is the start – the coverup continues!
