When most of us hear gunfire, we dive under the nearest table. But Marines and other soldiers are trained to run toward it to stop it.

Where was Panetta when the gunfire was heard?

Panetta said he could not send in help because he didn’t know who was attacking our people. This is worst excuse I can think of ,they were watching real time video taken from a drone and building mounted cameras . How difficult is it to figure the people shooting at the consulate are the attackers?

The only thing that would make Panetta’s excuse credible is if they felt that there were hundreds of militia waiting, a la Black Hawk Down, to ambush a rescue force. We’ve not had an intel failure that great since Somalia, and the fact that the CIA cadre was able to rescue 28 of the trapped staff (at the cost of two of their own) means that SecDef and the two Generals were wrong.

Wow, with bombshell after bombshell hitting on this affair, I can’t believe there are still people willing to vote for Obama, let alone that he has any chance for re-election. What is wrong with the people of this country?

Not to lessen the impact of the video of those interviews, but that was done at a University event for Dear Leader and the interviewees were students. Surely some students on that campus are aware of world events, but the universe from which the sample was drawn would be badly skewed at an election event for Dear Leader.

Feel-Good voters do not think, do not care much about information or arithmetic or long-term consequences. Logical argumentation will not convince them about anything: they want to “feel good” about voting for a member of a supposedly oppressed minority to make amends for past wrongs, real and imagined. Worst case (as in “Obama didn’t care” being a good thing): they agree with everything he does, because they “feel” war is wrong, that any kind of violence is wrong, even for defense.

I guess debate and disagreement is only allowed during Republican administrations.

From the outset, the skintight collusion between the administration and
the MSM made it clear that no set of moral values or ethics would stand
in the way of minimizing reporting of this story until after the
election. I’m pleased that Fox News, and pundits on the right wing
internet and airwaves have made it their own mission to keep the
Benghazi atrocity and questions about its aftermath alive.

Conservative
outlets have too often backed down and been rapidly silenced when faced
with imperial opposition from Obama’s enforcers. But the Democrats’ accusation that ~Republicans~ were politicizing this story – when it was blatantly clear
that the exact opposite was true – finally was a bridge too far for us
to tolerate.

There was never any question to most of us that Democrats would hide the truth
about Benghazi from the American people till after the last ballot was
counted. But at least our own exhaustive efforts to keep this scandal
in the news has exposed the truth about the Democrats themselves.
