Obama for America: Go phone bank! …In the middle of the hurricane!

You have got to be kidding me.

…For those who can’t see the photo: Fox News is reporting an email where Obama for America asked for volunteers to man the Annapolis, MD phone banks, starting at 5:30 PM this afternoon. At that point, Hurricane Sandy will be descending upon the Chesapeake Bay area and will make landfall some time between 8 PM this evening and 8 AM tomorrow. Annapolis is in the possible storm track. It WILL get hammered by winds, rain, and flooding.

So NO. DO NOT GO INTO ANNAPOLIS TO PHONE BANK TODAY. IT CAN WAIT.

Sheesh. Are there no adults in Obama for America? …Sorry, rhetorical question.

    As I read that Obama is pleading with Dem volunteers to risk not only their lives, but the lives of first responders who must save the necks of fools, the zer0 is simultaneously making his public pronouncements declaring that he is putting human safety and not politics first.

    His delivery imploring caution to East Coasters during the perils of an historic storm is so wooden and mechanical, BHO proves even a failure as First Newsreader.

    First you had the creepy email begging for money from the O campaign, now phone banking, what next. Maybe Bigbird and a bunch of kids will get on weather channel and start singing his praises in between live shots of flooding. How sorry is this? Neither Rain, nor sleet nor hail, nor hurricane will stop this man from asking you to sacrifice more of yourself for his re-election dreams. It wasn’t like this was a freak storm that just came up in the last 6 hours, we’ve known it was coming for days. Think ahead and be a little more compassionate idiots.

    Now that’s what I call sad: wasting an account to defend sending people out in the teeth of a hurricane to phone bank. You have to wonder whether other people are really REAL to this guy…

    Bizarre, but not unexpected from this gang. On the day that memo was issued, Gov. O’Malley (D) advised residents to stay off the roads for the next 24-36 hours.

    Annapolis was severely flooded by Isabel in 2003 and could experience similar problems over the next two days. This phone bank is only a few short blocks from the water. Public safety is the first priority and it’s very irresponsible to ask even Obamabots to head down there tonight.

    The only thing I see wrong with the email from Obama’s perspective is that the guy failed to remind the volunteers to, before leaving home, add a codicil to their wills leaving their estates to Obama for America.

    Well, not to worry, folks. He may have failed our civil servants in Benghazi but rest assured the Coast Guard will be on call to rescue anyone who is Obamaphoning.

    I think it is very wise and compassionate of Dear Leader. He isn’t asking them to go door to door. all that was needed to complete the email was one of those “I. Me. My Government. On my behalf” and it would have been perfect.
