Sigh, I just wrote Populist is a bad thing, and now here it is again, hangs head low. There are times when you should not use dictionary and use an encyclopedia. Populism is a Marxist ideology…

Yeah, let’s battle the Leftists for giving out free stuff.

If we cannot instruct the American people that Conservatism leads to a better life vice a life of slavery and a quest for free stuff, then the Republic is already doomed.

Populist is just another form of Socialist….

It belongs in the party of Jackson & FDR, not ours…

Democrats offer the loss of liberty and republicans offer the protection of liberty and the GOP cannot find a way to articulate that. Regulation and taxation if force. No one wants governmental force, even the illegal immigrant understands that.. The GOP problem is articulation along with the democrats having no moral center of gravity that confines them to truth. If the GOP becomes more democrat like it will cease to exist as a potent political party. Conservatives and evangelicals stayed home because they could not vote for Romney. A GOP that becomes more liberal will invite another Perot debacle. The GOP has eyes but it cannot see and ears and it cannot hear. The largest single block of voters the GOP has is the conservative and the GOP continues to piss on our shoes every chance they get.

Yet they voted for John McCain, who supported Cap-and-Trade and refused to advocate substantial fiscal reform or articulate a clear plan for economic renewal. And who also supported one of the worst immigration deals possible.
    Not to mention McCain-Feingold.

Now, no question about that, we are the natural home for Conservatives, and must strive to continue to be.
