Watch Radio Host David Sirota Flip Out on Mike Rosen

This actually happened over a month ago but seems to have mostly flown under the radar.  I think it’s worth a look.  After all, it’s rare that you get the joy of seeing an established left winger completely melt down in front of an audience. No, wait it’s not rare at all actually. But definitely fun.

Such was the case when watching David Sirota, a left-wing radio host from Denver, Colorado’s KHOW radio station. He also writes for the Daily Beast and is generally speaking, a crazy person.

In other words, you’ve never heard of this winner, but his left-wing loony credentials are well established. This is a guy who, back when most of us were still amazed that websites existed, he was already helping create fake ones to create confusion in elections (which got him fired incidentally). He’s even lent his writing prowess to the bastion of liberal thought, Daily Kos and has authored a couple of books that are likely being read by an occupier on their Kindle at the local Starbucks.

So it is especially fun to watch a guy like this get unhinged (as much as one can from his starting point) throwing accusations and cursing wildly because he can’t stand that sane Mike Rosen disagrees with him on a few things.

Watch this clip from “Battle of the Talk Show Hosts” on October 28th this year and join me in pointing and laughing.

This clip is great, as far as it goes. But virtually the entire 4 minutes is consumed by the maniacal Sirota shooting off his ignorance driven mouth while Rosen is trying to find enough clear space in between Sirota’s rants to insert a word or two. I’d love to see Rosen given matching time in order to not merely eviscerate Sirota like a mullet with his straight forward, truthful, non-hyperbolic response but to reduce him to tears like a little girl. And just why is it that liberals, like Sirota and Maher, simply cannot resist lacing their commentary with filthy language? Are they stuck in Junior High School gym class where their ridiculous antics impressed their trashy girlfriends?

I have the pleasure of listening to Mr. Rosen daily on 850 KOA here in Northern Colorado and this is common. He is great and I’m sure you can stream it on the 850 KOA website weekday mornings from 9am – noon mountain time. He never disappoints! Sirota co-hosts an afternoon show with Michael Brown (Director of FEMA under W, I believe) and Brownie spends most afternoons at his wit’s end I think. I like Michael Brown but can’t tolerate Sirota so I don’t listen often.

I’ve never listened to Brown & Sirota but it sounds a bit like Brown might be Sirota’s answer to Sean Hannity’s foil, Alan Colmes. If that is the case then listening would be an utter waste of time. Brown was an embarrassment as head of FEMA.

But I’d really like to hear more of Rosen. He has an economy with words that is compelling. My Current drive-time fave is Mark Levin on live at 6:00 PM Eastern. He has the passion of Rush and Hannity combined with the wit and rhetorical skills of Buckley and he can dispense with even an articulate and knowledgeable liberal in about 10 seconds. And his books are every bit as pleasurable to read as he is to listen to.

Yes, but they play excellently to the low-information (i just love that term!) electorate and their trashy girlfriends. In a recent development: like the Eloi responding to the air-raid sirens in the movie ‘Time Machine’, the low-information voters have begun descending into the voting booths at the beckon call of their newfound ‘brilliance’ as ascribed by faux intellectuals like Mr. Sirota. We used to count on the fact that those that subscribe to liberal talk didn’t think to put enough gas in their car to get to the polls, but now they have all learned that lesson a couple of times, and realize they must respond to the honor of their bumper-sticker. As the deliberative talker Michael Brown has learned, Sirota is truly the example of the old saying: ‘you can’t win an arguement with an idiot’ – so while Sirota speaks, he scrapes-off supporters for his brand of liberal demagoguery.

Because of the format of the afternoon show, I’ve listened to too many examples of Sirota putting words in Brown’s, or opposing callers’ mouths. But though Brown and the others are fully capable of refuting this and taking reasoned-discussion further…they go to a break and Sirota’s assertions stand. This has caused me to (permanently) listen to live-streaming 560-KLZ with the Alabama-based Michael Hart Show where Michael’s callers drive the show along with his commentary. God bless you Brownie you’re one of my favorites, but your show is an overall negative in the overall discourse, which I’ve got to avoid for my own sanity.

Rosen answered the question on the deficit very smoothly and deserves a lot of credit for it, HOWEVER Sirota makes a very good point on the killing of U.S. citizens by the hand of the president. Rand Paul, Jim DeMint and Mike Lee would all agree with him on this. It should be a conservative principle that the Federal Government does NOT have the right to kill U.S. citizens. Do you all agree?

If a US citizen has taken up arms against the US, then no. No season/no limit. My only objection with the current targeted killing program is that we are killing, not capturing, terrorists and this results in us know less about their capabilities or intentions.

    > If a US citizen has taken up arms against the US

Yes, and that’s the rub, isn’t it? What is the definition of “taking up arms”, and who decides when that line has been crossed?

Currently, the answer is The President, or whomever he dictates the responsibility to. And for non-US citizens, this is a perfectly legitimate exercise of warmaking authority.

But for US-citizens, it is a straight-up abrogation of due process.

You could literally be targeted, and have no recourse. It’s a really sick perversion of American law & customs, and even if it started under Pres. Bush, it’s wrong to continue now, or in the future.

American Citizens = Due Process, Trial byJury

That’s what a “right to life” means, it doesn’t end when breached. The Federal government has no authority to remove a right granted by God the creator on a person. No when they are unborn, no when they kill a person, and not when they are spewing Islamist crap to anyone who will listen.

The thing is, though, that while we can all see this joker as the maniacal loser that he is, the leftie loons will love him.

It would be nice if this sort of thing embarrassed them, but they are probably very proud of him and won’t see anything wrong with his behaviour.
