Al Gore Is A Big Oil Man Now

Al Gore is Big Oil

Al Gore, Mr. Green, is sure rolling in the green now. Selling his “Current TV” for $500 Million to Al Jazeera TV and its owners who are major players in the oil and natural gas industry (you know, the ones that are causing global warming!!!). Maybe now that he has that kind of dough, he will stop trying to sell carbon credits out of thin air. I’m not holding my breath.

Maybe he will plant some trees to offset his new shoe size as his carbon footprint continues to grow.

You had me right up until you said you think Al Gore become a billionaire from talking about Global Warming, or that that is why he did it.

Al Gore is not worth anything close to a billion dollars. Current reports say it’s around $300 million – after the sale of Current. Much of his wealth came from his investments in green energy companies, many of which benefited from huge government loans, which is all sorts of fun and probably slightly sideways (politicians always are).

I genuinely believe Gore considered global warming a problem worth advocating for. Sadly, while he turned out to be sort of right, like most environmentalists, his rhetoric was a bit too over-zealous and worst-case scenario. So it goes.

Al Gore is a hypocrite of the worst kind. “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”

algore is and always has been a spoiled, self-indulgent opportunistic hypocritical lying narcissistic bag of gas whose goal was to obtain power and money for himself.

What exactly has the self-proclaimed global warming environmental expert done in the name of environmentalism? He flies around in his private jet leaving his oversized carbon footprint wherever and whenever he pleases, not to mention living in a house that used 20 times more energy than the national average.

I have a hard time reconciling the hot air spewing forth from big algore with his digs in CA and his recent sale of Current TV to anti-American Al Jazeera which is based in Qatar, an oil producing country, and is state-funded. The sale was closed recently to avoid higher capital gains despite algore saying we should all pay our fair share.

“Every penny that I have made, I have put right into a non-profit deal, Alliance For Climate Protection, to spread awareness of why we have to take on this challenge. And Congresswomen, if your, if, if you believe that the reason I have been working on this issue for 30 years is because of greed, you do not know me.”

If you’re calling Al Jazeera anti-American, I have a very good sense you’ve never watched the network.

I also have a relatively good idea that you don’t like Al Gore for a very selective list of reasons, neither of which makes any sense.

    So Al-Jazeera is pro-American?
That’s a new one to say the least. I guess if you guys can re-elect Obama, the sky’s the limit, though. Go for it.

  • Melody Warbington

You don’t know jack about me, and based on your comment history, I really don’t think you know much about conservatism, so I’ll be clear. I don’t just dislike algore, I despise him, and I stand by every single word I said. He is everything I described and more. He was my rep in TN in the 80′s and was a liar then and is a liar now. He will say and do whatever is expedient for him to gain power and control, regardless of who or what else may be harmed.

On one occasion (All the while looking a co-worker up and down and asking “Haven’t we met somewhere before?” What a line.), he looked me in the eye and outright lied about his position on abortion because he had the mistaken impression I was pro abortion. When he realized I wasn’t, he tried backpedaling to no avail. Had I known then what I know now, I would have kept the letter we exchanged on the matter in which he lied through his teeth.

As for Al Jazeera, I don’t have to step in a pile of manure to know it stinks, despite the efforts to spin its viewpoint. Do you like MSNBC, too?

You can take your “relatively good idea” about why I don’t like algore and shove it. Your opinion is not even worth a genuine “bless your heart.”

  • Melody Warbington

You’re too kind, Toby. algore’s head isn’t portrayed nearly as big as it really is.

There you go again Jack- not Jack Savage! .

  • http://www.bigcontrarian.com Jack

    I didn’t say it was pro-American, just that it’s not anti-American. It’s sort of American-agnostic.

I generally don’t put much stock in the opinions of a person who will criticize something without any actual knowledge of the thing.
