FRONT PAGE CONTRIBUTOR

Ken Cuccinelli corybookers in Virginia.

If that verb takes off, I want 10% of the gross.

Anyway, Virginia AG (who happens to be also running for Governor) Ken Cuccinelli was driving along yesterday when

Cuccinelli was on his way back to Richmond on Friday after a meeting of his Human Trafficking Task Force in Staunton when he and his driver Cory Chenard noticed a semi-truck with a flatbed trailer carrying a heavy load in front of them an awful smelling smoke coming from it’s rear.

[snip]

“I skipped by the cab back to the back of the truck and sure enough it was still on fire,” he said.

Cuccinelli helped the driver out of the cab of the truck and then went in search of a fire extinguisher. After finding one he instructed Chenard to call for help and he ran to the back of the truck to help the driver put out the flames.

Via @bendomenech. Aside from the roadside assistance, by the way, I’d like to note the human trafficking thing. This is one of Ken Cuccinelli’s issues; as Attorney General he’s been pushing hard against the problem, and presumably will continue to do so as Governor of Virginia. Whatever your opinions are on prostitution itself and its legality, the current situation pretty much encourages various forms of, and let us not be coy about this, slavery. It’s uncomfortable to contemplate that such things still go on in this country, and it’s important that our elected officials do something about it.

I applaud the Attorney General and like him detest Human Trafficking. Goodness knows there are enough ladies in this world to have sex with and anyone who has to abuse women, children and men also are scum and perverts. These are the people who should be identified, prosecuted and jailed all together so they can abuse one another. Be they politicians, business executives or our neighbors they are low life scum.

IF this incident HAD involved Corey Booker– HE would have A) issued a press statement beforehand and B ) lined up the driver and rig, with appropriate fire
extinguishers readily available. No way would he have waited for an EMERGENCY
to appear, he would have just ‘ staged ‘ one !

You guys are great and I’m sorry to have missed your story until now. I have great respect for truck drivers, unlike many other drivers on the road, so keep up the great work. BTW, next time please call 911.
