Maxine Waters Wins A Fields Medal

I’m Kidding, But I Made You Click.

Sequestration isn’t as bad as I exaggerated it to be yesterday. It’s worse. Out of the 143 Million people who work, Sequestration will cause 170 Million of them to lose their jobs. It’s Obamacare on steroids and it’s growing huge.

OK, so that’s a wee tad inaccurate. It could even be argued that Congresswoman Maxine Waters respects the truth about as much as Occupy Wall Street demonstrators respect police cars. She sincerely has no clue what Sequestration will do or will not do to U3, U6 or U235 unemployment rates. But hey, look! A microphone! Journalists!

It’s like walking a bored and jumpy dog past a fire hydrant. Her brain disengages and her mouth pops open. Comedy ensues. John Stewart could take the night off. Except for one problem; Congresswoman Waters wasn’t telling jokes.

The evil internet rumor that opponents of The Voting Rights Act are spamming Justice Scalia’s inbox with Maxine Waters YouTube clips as a Post-modern form of Amicus Curiae Brief is probably false. They send him Sheila Jackson Lee instead. But Good Lord! Does the woman even pretend to prepare or think? This is totally inexcusable. 1st World nations do not have leadership that is this lacking in basic rationality and intellect. Watch that video of Congresswoman Waters and ask yourself how long you believe America will remain a 1st World nation.

What evidence can you produce that the US is still a 1st World Nation? We are up to our butts in debt. We are printing money to buy votes from people who are barely literate. 47 Million People are being fed from the public coffers. Our leader show the same level of understanding of a Robert Mugabe. Our Congress is run by well educated fools. We have discarded all the obvious things that made the Nation great. We kill babies for convenience. We allow unfettered immigration of people a few generations removed from a stone age culture. Only the elite State Workers are assured of prosperity. Our entertainment consists of American Idol and Jerry Springer spinoffs. And, our First Lady is so dumb that she hasn’t realized she could be selling advertising space on her ass.

When it comes to Democrats, especially black Democrats, saying stupid things, Jon Stewart takes the night off all the time.

This is just as dumb as Bachmann saying vaccines cause autism but it will not get 1% of the coverage.

Yup. This is about as close as it will get to the light of day.

The non-DoD sequestration for all of 2013 about equals the amont of new money that Treasury is printing every month. Somehow this makes the seqester The Greatest Calamity To Befall Mankind! Evah!

And the GOP leadership is wetting their pants over it.

Politicians of all stripes know neither the law, economics, good policy, nor strict honesty.

They know the trough really well, however, and their own polls.

There’s a lot of talk at RS about amending the Constitution. Here’s my proposal: Term-limit House members to three six-year terms. Same for Senate members. Remove the term-limit for president.

It’s crazy to have the House re-election rate we have and to have House members constantly running for re-election.

It’s also crazy to term-limit the president, creating lame ducks supposedly concerned only about protecting their legacy. If Republicans couldn’t beat Obama in 2016, there’s something wrong with Republicans.

Congress, the Intellectual Wasteland. Especially the CBC. What more pathetic is that Marxine’s constituency is even more of a wasteland. Marxine consistently gets

over 80% of the vote in her district.

I used to work in public policy and we made up job numbers all the time … gets a little tough to keep them all straight.

  • gentlecynic

I’ll see your 170 and raise you a gazillion ;-)

    Resist we much.

And just like that, there go the 4 million jobs that were created “almost immediately” following the passage of ObamaCare.
