Roger Ailes says Barack Obama is lazy. The media has blown it into a big story with the facts not on the media’s side. Van Jones, who on live national television called Mitt Romney a douche, was outrageously outraged by Roger Ailes’s assertion on CNN and even hinted that it might be racist for Ailes to say so.

The media is yet again willfully choosing to paint Ailes as a bad guy by ignoring Barack Obama’s own words.

The story about Ailes calling Obama lazy, comes from a Vanity Fair piece excerpting a new biography of Roger Ailes. In the biography, Ailes refers to Obama as lazy saying

“Obama’s the one who never worked a day in his life. He never earned a penny that wasn’t public money. How many fund-raisers does he attend every week? How often does he play basketball and golf? I wish I had that kind of time. He’s lazy, but the media won’t report that.”

The media might want to review this Barbara Walters interview with President Obama.

In it, Walters asks the President, “What’s the trait you most deplore in yourself and the trait you most deplore in others?”

Obama replies, “Laziness.”

Barbara Walters follows up asking, “You’re lazy?”

The President himself responds, “You know, it’s interesting. There is a deep down, underneath all the work I do, I think there’s a laziness in me. I mean, it’s, it’s probably from, you know, growing up in Hawaii, and it’s sunny outside and sitting on the beach.”

Well, thanks to Van Jones, I guess we now know Barack Obama is a racist.
