Death Squad Delusions on the Left

I put that tweet up earlier today.

Suddenly I’m being accused of supporting death squads, dropping people from helicopters to kill them, and many people who support killing kids in the womb are accusing me of supporting killing kids.

This is what the left tries to do to those they dislike.

They accuse the Pope of handing communists off to be killed by death squads and accuse me of endorsing the act because of that tweet.

Actually, it is an false allegation that the Pope did that. The evidence shows that the Pope actually helped get people out of Argentina during that terrible time. He is a hero. But they hate him because he is faithful to Christ. Things of Christ are hated by things of the world and much of the left is very much of the world.

The attacks on the Pope over this matter make me adore him. I’m skeptical of a Jesuit from Argentina who’s been vocal about his suspicions of capitalism.

But given these sustained attacks on him, I absolutely think the cardinals made the right call.

I wasn’t endorsing death squads. You must be delusional to think I would. But my Presbyterian self does adore this Pope just because of the smears and lies and hate directed at him by the left.

If they hate him this much, he must be a good man.

I don’t do papal politics, but it appears that the Lefties’ angst is probably due to the fact that their guy didn’t get the post.

With African Catholic Cardinal Peter Turkson in the running as the next pope, the media have noted that he carries the fancy title of the president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, an arm of the Vatican. But they have failed to note the existence of a left-wing lobby in the U.S. working feverishly on his behalf. It is the same group of radicals, with connections to billionaire hedge-fund operator George Soros, who backed Obama for president by claiming he shared their Catholic values.

They say the same things about Pius XII today — what makes anyone think Francis I will be exempt from the same hate (or those who defend the papacy from such delusional attacks)?

  • spikeygrrl

Not sure what you mean by that. The author does, however, explicitly state that “Things of Christ are hated by things of the world,” which is a vicious lie. There are MANY atheists and agnostics who consistently vote and LIVE conservative. We do not “hate” your religious beliefs, we just don’t share them. Where is OUR “freedom of religion” in this author’s schema? [Edited by author for a few typos]

About the only thing more predictable than the sun rising in the East is
that lefties in general and commies in particular will distort and
exaggerate any charge they can find against any perceived enemy they can identify.
If they are unable to find such claims then they will invent them out
of whole cloth. I take some comfort in knowing that these morons will
call attention to themselves in such a reliable fashion. Having a Pope
that can draw the ire and the fire of these morons only enhances that
    comfort.

Thanks for the link. Very informative. Kind of ironic. A Jew (George Soros) that is quoted as saying the best time of his life was turning in fellow Jews to the Nazis for rewards, and he backs a Marxist Black Community organizing priest for Pope and now we have these baseless attacks because they lost.
One thing to always remember, libs will put party above conutry and their own ideals. Now it appears they put it above religion also.

32And the congregation of those who believed were of one heart and soul; and not one of them claimed that anything belonging to him was his own, but all things were common property to them.33And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.34For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales35and lay them at the apostles’ feet, and they would be distributed to each as any had need.

36Now Joseph, a Levite of Cyprian birth, who was also called Barnabas by the apostles (which translated means Son of Encouragement),37and who owned a tract of land, sold it and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

Ah a hidden agenda at work, thanks for the insights from a Soros group pushing a closet liberal who would change Church policy to be liberal
    .
This outrage they show is croc tearsover a fake issue. Afterall, where have they been when Barack Obama with backing of Hillary Clinton has killed innocents in Pakistan including young kids time after time with terror targeted drones?

  • gnanos

@streiff, nice try, but there are a few problems there. First, your verses are from the book of Acts and not from the gospels. Second, nowhere did it say that this was Christ’s commandment or even desire to do. Third, in the next chapter, (Acts 5:4) Peter tells Ananias that his property was his own to do with as he pleased (very capitalistic!). It was only when Ananias lied to the Holy Spirit that he got into trouble. Fourth, read the rest of the New Testament. Which church was the only one that Paul had to take up support for from the other churches? Oh, yeah, it was the Jerusalem church that had tried communism. Read the parable of the talents in Matt 25:14 – 30. @romeg is right!

reading comprehension can be your friend if you don’t throw a flaming, kerosene soaked tire over it’s head and chase it through the street.

    At one time being a
Catholic was not something I would have even considered ,but, given
that this church is standing strong in the face of lib hate groups while so many other churches
have turned their backs on God and now bow to the thug in our White House, I
think God has answered my question – Which church is the right church.Appears it is the Catholic Church.

A bit off topic but I wish to let you know that I will be praying for you and your husband. We are NOT to have fellowship with unbelievers and are certainly not to be unequally yoked together with them. That said since you ARE already married to a non believer you must try to set an example of Christ for him and softly lead his heart to Christ. I often wonder how Christians put themselves in such situations. What of your children? HOW will they be taught when the parents don’t agree. HOW can one have a loving and supportive relationship when one or both parties thinks of the other as a fool and one party fears the other will go to hell? When your husband says he doesn’t believe the Bible there is the (hopefully) unspoken belief that the one who does is a fool, deceived, intellectually challenged etc etc. I encourage you to pray for your husband daily and see if he will read books like The Case for A Creator and the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis and I don’t have Enough Faith to Be An Atheist by Dr’s Norman Geisler and Frank Turek. I also have discussions on non belief and who wrote the Bible at my ministry site.. http://www.kjv-truth-ministries.org/?page_id=154 God bless you and yours.

I will leave aside the issue of whether the Catholic Church is truly of Christ and only point out that the Jesuits are NOT truly or solely interested in serving Christ they have a larger agenda. Borrowed from Worldview Weekend Newsletter by Brannon Howse ”

In 1973, TIME magazine reported on the
history of the Jesuits and their influence that has spread into many powerful
places and institutions since being established in the mid-1500s. Unless you
understand the history, goals, and ongoing Counter Reformation of the Jesuit
Order and the Church of Rome, then you don’t fully understand what is occurring
in the world and why. The Jesuits main focus has and continues to be in eight
main areas of influence in order to turn hearts and minds toward the Church of
Rome for the purpose of world domination. These eight areas include:

    1. Ecumenicalism

    2. Social Justice/Liberation Theology,

    3. Dominion Theology,

    4. Politics, Community Organizing &
    Revolution

    5. Education

    6. The Press

    7. The Pulpit and Denominations, and

    8. Mysticism.

The influence of the Jesuits includes:

    • The Jesuits have greatly promoted
mysticism. The April, 1973 cover story in TIME magazine referred to the Jesuits
as “a band of mystics.” Former Jesuit Malachi Martin in his book “The Jesuits”
wrote that the Jesuits advanced the study of mysticism.

    • The term social justice was coined by
Jesuit Luigi Taparelli in 1840 and used by Karl Marx in 1848.

    • The idea of the infallibility of the Pope
was officially confirmed in 1870 at the First Vatican Council due to the work
    of the Jesuits.

    • Jesuit Teilbard de Chardin is known as
the father of the New Age Movement

    • Jesuit Luis de Alcasar created the false
belief of preterism that declares that the rapture occurred in A.D. 70.
Preterism was created by Jesuit Luis de Alcasar in order to put the antichrist
in the past because many of the reformers taught that the Papal system would be
the headquarters of the Harlot Church described in Revelation 17 and the Papal
system would be used by the Antichrist to build his demonic world empire.

    • Jesuit Alfonso Salmeron Developed Higher
Criticism which seeks to undermine the authority of God’s Word by calling into
    question its inspiration and inerrancy.

    • Liberation theology seeks to mix
“Christianity” with Marxism. The term was Liberation Theology was coined in
1971 by the Peruvian priest Gustavo Gutiérrez and greatly advanced by Jesuit
    Jon Sobrino of El Salvador.

    • In a Chicago Magazine article by Daniel
Libit, it was reported “whenever asked how his presidential campaign had so
quickly assembled its grass- roots operation, he would credit [Gregory]
Galluzza’s membership. A former Jesuit priest…Galluzzo had good reason to feel
proud: He was indirectly responsible for bringing Barack Obama to Chicago to be
    an organizer.”

This is just a small list of the influence of the
Jesuit Order. View this DVD for a complete understanding of how the Church of
Rome and its Jesuit Order is a major force in building a one-world religion,
    one-world economy, and one-world government.”

    Jack Chick? Is that you?

  • PowerToThePeople

Oh yes, so many other denominations have not fought back for what is right. What world do you live in?

All denominations have their charlatan groups and lazy groups, but Catholics have their own major issues and are far from being the only ones who fight against sin and evil. Your statement was absurdly stupid.

  • sudomakeme

“If they hate him this much, he must be a good man.”

That pretty much sums up the position I have found myself in related to anything that comes from Democrats/liberals/the left, on any issue. I don’t recall “the left” being so aggressively unreasonable as they have been in the last few years.
