Christine O’Donnell to Appear on The Credit Report with Bill Lewis

Christine O’Donnell will be on the air Thursday morning on AM 1470 WWNN and The Credit Report with Bill Lewis.

The Tea Party favorite will join Bill Lewis and discuss her new book: “Troublemaker: Let’s Do What It Takes to Make America Great Again,” in advance of her book signing on behalf of the Republican Party of Broward County.

The Delaware Republican grabbed the national spotlight last fall in her U.S. Senate campaign following a primary win against Congressman Mike Castle and her subsequent campaign against now Senator Chris Coons (D- Delaware).

O’Donnell has returned to the spotlight with a book that is a combination autobiography, part-policy paper, and part-recap of her stunning primary win in Delaware.

After defeating Castle, O’Donnell did not receive much support from the Delaware Republican Party.  In fact, much of the 2010 campaign was spent fighting “the establishment,” a fight O’Donnell details in her book.  “Certain party leaders rolled up their sleeves gnashed their teeth and came looking for me.  I’d already set off our state party leadership with my 2006 and 2008 campaigns, but here, it looked like I was ready to ruffle even bigger feathers on an even bigger stage,” stated O’Donnell.

In “Troublemaker,” O’Donnell backs away from her infamous “I’m not a witch” statement; something that was designed to play off of comments made years earlier on Bill Maher’s” Politically Incorrect” show about “dabbling in witchcraft.”

O’Donnell also writes about her regrets in signing with media consultant Fred Davis, the man behind the infamous commercial, but takes the blame for not speaking her mind, “It was a wrong-headed move, made for all the wrong reasons, but it was mine.”

As the book title implies, O’Donnell appears to thrive in the face of adversity.  She writes, “I once heard a priest, ‘If you’re going to love your enemies, you first must have the courage to make some.’  Let’s face it: I was making enemies left and right—and here the phrase had particular meaning for the way I seemed to anger folks on both sides of the aisle, on the left and on the ostensible right.  It was beginning to feel like nobody from the Delaware political establishment, Republican or Democrat, wanted to see me run.”

The book signing has been scheduled for 12 noon Thursday at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale followed by a luncheon.   The luncheon is $35.00, all inclusive, with an autographed book available at $25.00 per copy.  A photo opportunity will be available.

“We are excited to have Christine O’Donnell here in south Florida,” stated Rico Petrocelli, Executive Director of the Broward Republican Party.  “We are expecting over 100 people at the luncheon.”

The Credit Report with Bill Lewis is a daily forum for business and financial news, politics, economic trends, and cutting edge issues.  Bill can be heard weekday’s at 9 o’clock on AM 1470 WWNN in south Florida or by streaming audio at www.wwnnradio.com by clicking “listen live.”  Phone lines are open at (888) 565-1470.

Bill, as a former journalist and super-supporter of Christine O’Donnell in Delaware, I wrote a 700 word book review that drew much fire from moderate republicans that despise and much support from people who think that her journey is not over and the she should run again in the 2012 elections.

This link will probably go right to the comment of the post but just scroll up. I also posted in Redstate.com as a diary.

It better not be all softball questions. This lady is a disaster of a candidate. Bad for the entire Republican Party. She had her shot but she came up short.

Her journey is over. It ended with her political career crashed in a ditch. If she wants to cash in now by writing a book, good for her. She better be done trying to run for any state or federally elected position.

People like her hurt the party.

and audio I heard of her when she left the Piers Morgan Show. What did she expect? It was CNN, not exactly a media outlet ” friendly” towards her. Of course he was going to throw gotcha questions at her. It should not have come as a shock to her.

I have never been a basher of O’Donnell, but this incident convinced me that maybe she should not be in national politics.
