the people running the romney campaign are really bright. there is no way that they nominate a moderate that the tea party is opposed to. not after what the way the tea party and mourdock manhandled the heavily favored lugar in indiana.

i am sure that the romney people are workign overtime trying to figure out how to harness that same tea party energy and effort for their guy. wouldnt you if you ran his campaign??? its common public knowledge that christie and daniels are disliked by us tea partiers and picking either of them would be considered a deliberate ''slap in the face'' to our movement. so you wont see either of them nominated. and picking a moderate who served in the bush administration would not be a whole lot better.

and as much as i shill for jim demint to be chosen VP, i dont really know that romney will pick a tea partier as his running mate. thats fine. but he needs to at least pick a legitimate conservative as his running mate if he wants the tea party to go out and ''pound the pavement'' for him.

trust me, romney is a million times better than obama and we will all be voting for mitt. but there is a difference between us voting for him, and us devoting all our time and money to him, instead of helping the conservative republcian candidates running for congress.

the establishment already got their guy on the top of the ticket. they surely wont put a ''thumb in the eye'' in the conservative/tea party base in order to run an all moderate/anti tea party ticket. at least i hope not. if they do, it might mean another 4 years of obummer. yuck.

...that leads me to believe Portman appreciates the depth of our financial crisis. Mostly more of the same. Typical Paul Ryan-type who talks big on the budget, but will ultimately not stand as a serious obstacle to democrats.

has the Democrats spooked. Oh wait, that is probably Obama's record that has them spooked. I mean imagine if you will, your Paul Krugman (a nightmare I know) and your wildest dream occurs. You and all your liberal buddies take over Washington and spend two years initiating every single dream program you ever had. Then, everything goes to poo, what do you do? Blame you stupid rear end policies, naah, call Romney a contraceptive hating Mormon and a vulture capitalist to boot. What has Krugman and his pals over at DKos spooked is the fear that Americans are going to treat their poo like a litter box and clean it out.

The article is written by a member of the McCain Ad Council and the only "insider" quoted was Mark McKinnon, a RINO's RINO who finally left the party for the "greener" pastures of America Elect. Essentially, two architects of McCain's failed media campaign. I seriously doubt either has a clue what is going on in Boston or are consulted by same. The nominee might be Portman, it might not be. This looks like to me yet one more pathetic attempt by McCain insiders to deflect blame to Sarah Palin for their own shortcomings.
