Beth Myers Tweets

Beth Myers is heading the VP search for Governor Romney.  And she seems to have tweeted the final contenders.  They are: @robportman @bobmcdonnell @CondoleezzaRice @johnthune @Gov_Martinez @RickSantorum, @KellyAyotte @timpawlenty @GovChristie @BobbyJindal @marcorubio @RepPaulRyan @NewtGingrich.

Well, since my favorite, Mike Huckabee is not to be found on this list, I will have to go with Marco Rubio.  Honorable, young, likable, experienced, Floridian, bilingual, smart, good communications skills, endorsed by Jeb and Rudy for VP, Tea Party favorite, pro-life, family decided not to move back to Cuba due to Castro, not rich, a team player, winner of underdog races.  Sounds very good.

UPDATE (July 28): Rubio’s also been cleared of wrongdoing in a credit card matter.

UPDATE #2 (July 29): Former VP Cheney said today about the Palin selection: “Based on her background–she had only been governor for, what, two years–I don’t think she passed that test of being ready to take over….And I think that was a mistake.” This is a valid point, and it weighs more in favor of someone like Bobby Jindal or Tim Pawlenty than Marco Rubio, though Rubio has had substantially more government experience than Palin had.

…Rubio would be a great pick.

And to anyone who says Rubio does not have enough expreience, look at the man in the white house right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And did you guys know Wayn Allyn Root, big political predictor, predicts Romney to crush Obama this November.

    I will keep praying.

    Newt and Rick???!!!

Martinez, Jindal, and Ryan. Rubio’s unfortunately too inexperienced, as opposed to Susana Martinez who was a District Attorney before serving as Governor. Pawlenty, McDonnell and Thune are okay, I guess.

City Commissioner for West Miami, then served in the Florida House of Representatives ultimately as Speaker, plus US Senate experience. That seems like plenty.

Haven’t had a state legislative leader as veep for a long time, of course. Wasn’t the last one from New Jersey or something? :P

And please don’t remind me of Obama. “US Senate experience”.

Urgh. We already knew these people were on the VP lists. :/ I’m tired of the speculation already. Get the name out, get him campaigning!

Certainly not with the Olympics and all. And it’d be impossible for him to announce the pick this week, unless he intends to do it in Jerusalem or Warsaw.

Well, if Romney follows the 2000 precedent, then the VP nominee will be Beth Myers. (Credit: Liz Cheney.)

It would be awesome to see the liberal heads exploding.

“There has been speculation by media sources that the 46-year-old Bondi is on the list of Romney’s possible running-mates.”

Referring to Florida’s AG Palm Bondi.

Bobby Jindal. His years of experience are quite amazing for a 41 year old. I just listened to his interview from Miami Herald . I felt very comfortable he is the one. In 20 minutes I could hear how America would be back on track with Romney/Jindal. Bring on VP debate against Biden!!!!!
