Marco Rubio To Donald Trump: Stop The Birther Crap

Well he said it more diplomatically, but I’m glad he’s come out against Trump’s insanity:

During an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller on Thursday, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said businessman and potential 2012 GOP primary candidate Donald Trump deserves to be taken seriously as a legitimate candidate, noting that “Donald Trump comes to the race with some notoriety – people know who he is.”

But when it came to Trump’s questioning whether or not President Obama was born in the U.S., Rubio said: “I would suggest – if he asked for my opinion – not to focus so much on that issue. There are more important things facing our country. I believe Barack Obama was born in the United States of America… So why are we talking about this?“

Again, I wouldn’t have been so nice. I would have called Trump an idiot of the highest order and that he should slither back into the cave he came from.

Obama’s Mother A US Citizen, Thus Obama’s A Natural Born US Citizen

Ok, let’s say Obama WAS born outside of the United States. Let’s ask ourselves two questions of Ann Dunham (Obama’s Mother) and if they square up, he’s still a Natural Born US Citizen Answer to both be YES (this asumes Obama Sr and Ann Dunham’s marriage was invalded due to him beinging already married back in Africa):

  1. Was Ann Dunham a U.S. citizen at the time of the Obama’s birth? Yes.
  2. Was Ann Dunham physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the Obama’s birth? Yes.

GUESS WHAT PEOPLE!! BARACK OBAMA JR. IS A BLOODY NATURAL BORN US CITIZEN!!!!! END OF STORY!!!!!!!!!

I have just proven, even if he was born in Kenya, that Obama has the legal right to be the US President. Enough, is enough, is enough.

Donald “Birther” Trump

I will hide nothing from you: I was I excited at first about Donald Trump getting into the race. I thought to myself “Yes! Someone with business experience who is going to add something intellectually to the debate about government, business, and the economy!”

At no time did I take his candidacy seriously or think that he was going to win. Hell, I support Herman Cain until the end.

But I have been watching with increasing alarm at how Donald Trump has gone off message with this whole “Birther” crap. I didn’t want to believe it at first. However after watching Donald Trump go full “Birther” on us in the last few weeks, we can’t deny it any longer.

I take exceptional issue with Kowalski giving Trump more credit than he deserves. What Kowalski did, was like saying that Truthers have a good message for the masses, then saying he himself doesn’t believe in it. Trump is not articulating a message, he’s pandering to the lowest common denominator of the lunatic fringe with a debunked* conspiracy theory. Trump clearly has no message, thus he falls back on a tired argument that has gone beyond the boundaries of rational thought.

RNC Action Alert

Trump needs to be taken down. And quickly. He cannot be our standard bearer. He shouldn’t be praised, but shuned on the strongest possible terms. Now I don’t believe in boycotts, but if you are watching his show, I suggest you tune out.

I also think we should start emailing and calling the RNC to denounce the “Birther” conspiracy theory and that they will not support anyone who pushes it!

    I was always under the assumption that Trump was simply out for himself and would take on whatever mantle was convenient at a given point in time to accomplish HIS goals.

      I am doubtful that his run for President is anything but a publicity stunt. If not, and if Trump can pull off a win in the Republican primary… God help America.

    (with links, citations, etc. please), but it is my understanding that what you wrote about his qualification through his mother would have been true if it was his father, but not his mother. (Antiquated laws back then…)

        Bottom of the page deals with out of wedlock births; Obama’s parents were married until 1963. He was born in 1961.

        However, the second paragraph states this:

        “Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock

        A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) of the INA provided the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child’s birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen, is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen, is required for physical presence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.) The U.S. citizen parent must be genetically related to the child to transmit U.S. citizenship. ”

        Ergo, unless I am seriously misreading this, I am correct because she was only 18 when he was born. (14+5 = 19)

        So, if he was born outside of the US, he is ineligible.

        Of course, the 14th amendment would probably make this “5 years after the age of 14″ unconstitutional, but that’s another mater entirely…

          Remember that Obama Senior never divorced his first wife…

          .. so couldn’t have been married to his second wife legally…

          … so out of wedlock may well apply…

    Most other Americans have to disclose a great many personal documents, against their will.

    Donald Trump reports that Obama has spent some $2,000,000 (two million bucks) to ?lawyer-up? with legal services to maintain a great many aspects of his privacy.

    But when any man spends forty (40) times an American annual wage of $50,000 per year on lawyers, he apparently wants to avoid exposure or ?cover up? something or perhaps many things ?real bad?.

    So what about it Resident Soetoro, ?exactly? what are ?you? hiding from the American people?

    That?s a fair question, don?t you think?

      In my estimation, Obama is hiding something big. All I can say to him, is just produce the birth certificate.
      Then we can attack him on all the things that he is purposely doing to destroy our republic. He couldn’t be more obvious in his intentions.

    If Obama’s citizenship is the only thing you can find to take issue with, then you truly do not have a clue!!! Let me help you find one.

    Obama won the presidency by promising to get us out of Iraq: two years later, we are still in Iraq.

    Obama won the presidency by promising to close GITMO: two years later, we are still incarcerating terror suspects at GITMO.

    Obama won the presidency by promising to get us out of Afghanistan: two years later, we are still in Afghanistan.

    He promised to keep unemployment below 8%; he promised to get our economy out of the ditch; he promised affordable healthcare for all Americans, but only delivered a mandate that everyone (except a select few) must buy health insurance (healthcare is less affordable now than it was in 2008, but the insurance premiums have gone UP!); he promised to spread the wealth around to all Americans, but is only spreading the wealth around to union members (especially the UAW).

    He might as well have promised to colonize the moon and Mars! If he were Pinocchio, his nose would be longer than the Golden Gate Bridge by now.

    And all that the Donald can come up with is that Obama MAY NOT be a natural born citizen???!!!

    QUIT SPECULATING ABOUT A BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND NAIL OBAMA ON THE FACTS!!!!

    Resident Barry Soetoro may well serve unscathed, but there will be so much furor raised over this constitutional citizenship issue that no political party will ever make such an asinine mistake again.

    Failure to properly vet and publicly qualify Soetoro is the serious mistake already made by the democrats. Moreover and to be fair, the republicans should have held this issue firmly up for scrutiny prior to the campaigns.

    Consequently, history may well judge the Birthers and Donald Trump to be true American patriots.

    Currently, eight states are working on laws to require natural-born proof of citizenship, before any presidential candidate can be placed on state ballots in 2012.

    If Resident Soetoro comes out fighting for a legal ?free pass? on those new state laws, then we should be highly suspicious of his motives.

    We are “talking about this” because the RINOs in the U.S. House of Representatives haven’t the guts to launch the exhaustive investigations required to resolve the Obama matter definitively.

    It didn’t take Marco long to become a RINO.

    Meanwhile, a mole runs the White House.
