SNL Re-run is edited tonight, sans the Sandlers

NBC is so lame

NBC is re-running the Saturday Night (not-so) Live episode tonight that contained a skit that attempted to tell how the subprime crisis really started. The digs at Pelosi and Frank were great, so was the couple who were caught flipping when the downturn hit. Shortly after the original episode, in which the real story of the Sandlers was told, the Sandlers complained to NBC about their actual activities being represented in the sketch. Tonight, the Sandler bit was cut out of the re-run.

I can understand pulling material from the internet. But making money from a re-run while editing out parts that some thought objectionable (personally, I thought the poking-fun at President Bush really sucked) is really poor business decision, and really classless.

there may have been legal liability that NBC did not want to risk. Even I think the part that said “people that need to be shot” was over the top.

Having said that, NBC and it’s owner GE are being run into the ground by leftists. When GE was run by a conservative, Jack Welch, it was the most admired company. Now this Immelt character has not only ruined the NBC name, he has destroyed GE and the investments of millions of shareholders.

I can not for the life of me understand why shareholders have put up with this. Jack Welch, the former CEO of GE has to go on Fox to give his massive knowledge to others. It just goes to show that political lefties will even destroy themselves to take a shot at the right.

They can only dream of the numbers they had with Palin….and they will never get them again….so there is solace in that….they will be gone along with the papers within 5-10 years.

but I am sure that they could have simply removed/edited the note on the screen to remove the phrase. The way I see it: my tax money is in the Sandlers’ pockets and purses. They are as much “fair game” as GWB, Soros, and Frank are.
