Who celebrates if and when this gets violent

I am sitting here listening to the the Glenn Beck replay on a sleepless night, and he is talking about Pelosi’s comments earlier on, and then some Kennedy dunce, about violent rhetoric from the right wing. However, when there is real violence like the crybabies at the G20 summit get violent nobody says a damn thing.

Which is now leading me to start thinking, who benefits if some violence really goes down?  It would seem to me the far left and those currently in power would benefit.   They would be the ones setting down the new laws to deal with the violence, and I am sure that those laws would be the things to give them the advantages and disinfranchise as many advantages that conservatives would have (anybody say gun bans etc.).

So in conclusion of this thought.  If some violence really goes down.  It is going to take something along the line of O.J evidence before I would believe that anything violent would be sparked by the conservative side of the coin.

you mean to refer to our illustrious Commander in Chief or one of our fighting generals.

Odierno probably hazed me when I was a plebe. Back when “men were men and giants strode the Plain.”

    Thank you.

…with MacArthur’s occasional challenges to the politicians. He hasn’t run for office yet but I haven’t seen a General Officer act like this in my lifetime.

My comments were above this one, here: http://www.redstate.com/leopard1996/2009/09/30/who-celebrates-if-and-when-this-gets-violent/#comment-148

They’ve said it over and over, at the first incident with the right sort of victims, of course, they’ll start the screaming and accusations. They will not need any kind of evidence, they’ve decried it over and over, one incident will prove their point. Just like the nazi paraphernalia at the Tea Parties, or the racism from Obamacare opponents. Its been said so many times it is already gospel.

John Perry has an article up at Newsmax asking that question-

    http://www.newsmax.com/john_perry/obama_military_coup/2009/09/29/266012.html

It was interesting to read that the Military officers swear to uphold the Constitution, rather than to follow the orders of the President. With the fact that Obama has spoken with Gen. McCrystal once in 70 days, what could McCrystal be thinking? Was the report asking for more troops planted in the news by someone from the military, ahead of Obama’s receiving it? Defense Secy Gates got testy when asked if Obama would honor McCrystal’s request. I believe he said he was “going to sit on it” until Obama had “studied” all options. What a slap in the face to not only McCrystal, but also to all of our military. Gates, being the sucker-upper that he is, seems to have nothing to say about the plans or options for Afghanistan, rather he sits on his perch, and appears to believe that some idiots in Washington, with little to no foreign experience, or how to fight a war and win, can make better decisions than our trained and highly educated military officers. And, Obama is cutting the defense budget, now, when the world is getting far more dangerous, as a result of Obama’s inexperience and tremendous weakness. He said he doesn’t care about Victory in wars. It’s as though Obama has painted a bullseye on the map of the United States. If our enemies were ever going to strike, it’s now.

I don’t know that it would ever come to a “military coup” to take care of the “Obama problem”, however, as Mr. Perry states, it isn’t impossible, however it may just be my wishful thinking.

Because destroying the United States in favour of a military dictatorship is “wishful thinking.”

Oh, and I am sure that whoever “took over” will be more than willing to give said power back to the people once things are “taken care of”

    Idiot!

It was leaked to the press on September 21st. It had gotten to the WH I guarantee it. Bad news doesn’t get better with time is the rule, don’t keep your boss in the dark. Gates knows it as well as every other Soldier.

Then McChrystal threatened to resign, then he went on 60 minutes and went on the offensive. I haven’t heard of a General Officer acting this much like MacArthur since, well, MacArthur. There’s a reason, McChrystal is a good solid Officer, i have friends who have worked closely with him in the SOF community for years. I’m thinking he’s forcing BOs hand, if BO fires him BO loses any and all political capital with even moderate republicans and many of the less rabid variety of Democrat, not to mention what it does to the American People. Give the Tea parties something like that to work with. Then consider that sooner or later another terrorist attack is going to be successful, its statistically more likely every day, sooner or later one is going to get past everyone and lets face it, the TSA are government employees, do a web search and see what kind of luck they have catching someone even when they are warned. If BO still refuses to send troops he’s politicizing the war, risking Soldiers lives for his own gain, same results. If he gives in to the decayed and degraded souls who think that nothing is worth war, otherwise known as his far left base, he is a liar and campaign promise breaker because he is on record stating the Afghan War is “the central front in the war on terrorism” during his campaign and since then as well. Same outcome, BO will never again pass legislation or help another dem get elected.

All the cards have been turned up, GEN McChrystal went all in, Obama can match the bet or leave the table, he already knows he’s going to lose.

there is no way this can come out favorably for the right if any violence is shown to have come from it. If it ever does become violent, it had better be complete, because the steps taken in its wake may well lead to REAL violence on a large scale.

I can only see this thing going violent if a couple of things happen. 1). If they are stupid enough to actually try to disarm middle America 2.) If they take away the vote.

Either or both of those would lead to a real problem for all involved. Short of that, I don’t see us doing more than waiting for our next crack at the ballot box, while we step up the rhetoric and continue getting people involved.

Mine is just above here. Am I close or using too much wishful thinking?

Plus, Newsmax has pulled from their web site the article by John Perry.

Truth always seems to be stranger than fiction.

I suspect many flag rank officers are pulling down from their bookshelves “Seven Days In May” for a good, quick re-reading.

Regarding the oath, you’re of course right, it’s to the Constitution and to carry out lawful orders.

While on active duty, I disobeyed a direct verbal order one time from a superior. An LTC told the MAJ to tell me the CPT to do X. I knew X was unlawful. I told the MAJ if he wanted to engage in the illegal activity, have at it, but I refused. I explained why I knew the activity was unlawful. I didn’t suffer for it. And as far as I know, the unlawful actions were never carried out by anyone. My superiors came to their senses.

I see another possible scenario playing itself out. See the 25th Amendment, Section 4. The Dems themselves might figure out that this clown is going to destroy their party and their individual political futures and, therefore, decide to find Teleprompter Boy is “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office . . . .” But, of course, Biden is not smart enough or man enought to attempt it.

    But, recall this clip:

Notice Biden’s inability to hide his disdain for Teleprompter Boy’s inability to give a speech without a teleprompter.

I mentioned the 25th Amendment solution here a few days ago:

As for McChrystal, I don’t know much about him. All I’ve read has been good. Did not see his 60 Minutes interview, but going on 60 Minutes was a bold move. I like it.

    Thank you.
