Apparently, according to President Obama, my parents must be terrorists.

First, I digress.  One of my earliest childhood memories is hearing my parents talking one day about my grandparents coming to visit us for a meal, as they lived not too far away.  My distinct recollection is my father saying to my mother, “My folks are coming for dinner.”  That was the first time I had heard the word “folks,” yet in the context of my parent’s discussion I was able to correctly associate the word to my father’s parents.  So, from that time forward, I assumed the word “folks” meant one’s parents.

Yet this morning, President Obama — during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” — made the following statements:

“…and most importantly we have to bring those folks who carried this out to justice.”

“…find out what happened and bring those folks to justice.”

“My number one responsibility is (t0) go after (the) folks who did this….”

So in Obama’s vernacular, “folks” are people who attack our consulates and kill our ambassadors and citizens.  ”Folks” are those who commit terrorist acts.  ”Folks” are, therefore, “terrorists.”  Which, by my way of thinking, means he thinks my parents are terrorists.

There goes our Thanksgiving family reunion!

And, another thing.  Have you noticed in the very few times President Obama has responded to questions about the Libyan attack, he uses the phrase:  ”There is no one who wants to find out what happened more than I do”?

Really?  That’s interesting because Secretary of State Clinton has used the exact phrase, too.  So is Sec. Clinton lying or is the President?  Because if there is no one who wants to find out more what happened than the President, that would include Clinton, too.

I’ll close by quoting from the wisdom of Warner Brothers Porky Pig, whose parting phrase is now forever tainted by our President’s definition:  ”Abadee, abadee, abadee…That’s all Folks!”
