Yes, Mr. Obama: “The Empire IS Striking Back”… So glad you’ve finally noticed.

I just watched a fascinating video. I found it on Drudge Report… But apart from the intense photo of Barack Obama, what truly captured my attention was the caption beneath. It was one word… all caps…

Click on the word “PANIC” and you are taken to a page where Real Clear Politics shares this little clip.

Now… Let’s break down the best parts of that.

First – His apology for being horse… He’s been talking a lot lately, ya know… bein’ back on that ole’ campaign trail again and all… and just because he looks exhausted and can’t talk very well, he’s “still fired up”… God bless him…. Still… it would have been kinda nice if he had apologized to the rest of us for having to listen to his drivel for the past 2… hell, (with 2 having been while he was ignoring his job as a senator to run for president) FOUR years.

And then he warns his flock that in spite of everything they’ve tried to intimidate, threaten, silence anyone who opposes their efforts to ”fundamentally change” the United States of America… ”The Empire is Striking Back”.

(Actually, sir. It’s called a “Republic“)

Yep, as he advises his loyal followers that while he and his liberal pals in Washington are losing fighting through these last two weeks before the Mid-Term elections,  “… the same special interests… that would profit from the other side’s agenda….? They’re fightin’ back.”

Yeah… “Special Interests“

(AKA: THESE people)

 

“They could be insurance companies… banks…. We don’t know.”

      And when the man, who is touted by the left as being one of the greatest orators in history, is speaking… he is either:

      A) Plagiarizing the words of someone else

      B) Repeating the same platitudes and “bumper sicker” slogans he used last week… or a month ago… a year.. 2.. 4 years ago…

      C) Taking what someone (on the right) said out of context.

      D) Walking back something stupid he said off script.

      E) Reading all of the above from a teleprompter.

    There are FOUR words now (instead of one)… and all are still in CAPS… But I guess I should make aneffort to update my post title… So, here goes…

    Instead of the single word, “PANIC”, the headline is now more specific… “THE PANIC OF 2010″.

    I guess (like many of us) Matt realized that, while there is “PANIC” in the liberal camp over the pending November’s “2010″ Mid-Terms, the same word ALSO applies to the quadrennial election cycle coming their way in “2012″.

    Clarity is a wonderful thing.

    But a great post. Americans are still as anti-empire as we ever were, no matter what the Marxist say. Obama projects, for the imperialists are before us. So we charge. Thanks for keeping up the drumbeat.

      … which was why I clarified to our glorious, historic president that we are a Republic… Not that he bothers reading anything other than what is written by his loyal liberal ego strokers.

      And yes… “we charge”… Thank YOU for beating your OWN drum…

      By the way “Drumline” happens to be one of my FAVORITE movies.
      LOVE the “throwdown” scene!

    Invasion by illegal ie “Criminal Aliens”

    Mr/Mrs Politician:

    Obviously you have never read the United States Constitution or
    else feel that in your ivory tower and wealth that it does not apply to you!!

    I feel you need to read the following and act according to the peoples wish
    not your wishes or special interests wish list!

    There are three references to the words “invasions,” “invaded,” and
    “invasion” in our U.S. Constitution:

    Article I, Section 8: “The Congress shall have Power To Provide for calling
    forth the Militia to execute Laws of the Union, suppress
    insurrections and repel Invasions.”

    Article I, Section 10:”No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any
    Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time
    of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with
    another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War,
    unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as
    will not admit of delay.”

    Article IV, Section 4:”The United States shall guarantee to every State in the
    Union as Republican Form of Government, and shall
    protect each of them against invasion, and on
    Application of the Legislature, of of the Executive (when
    the Legislative cannot be convened) against domestic
    Violence.”

    Your Oath of Office and sworn duties as referenced mean you must Act and
    put a Stop to the Invasion of all the Illegal immigrants we are experiencing.

    Our U.S. Constitution mandates that invasions shall be repelled by Congress.
    and that means the persons in the House of Representatives and the U.S.
    Senate. Our nation’s sovereignty must be protected.

    How can you even stand in front of a mirror and even look yourself in the eyes
    knowing you are a “Bought & Paid Ho” for special interests and the
    Democratic Party Hacks? Tell me I am wrong, please because I fear for the
    future of our country as you certainly don’t care about the people or our
    country!!

    Considering all of the czars, radical appointments, punitive regulations and ever-expanding government control, the Obama Administration truly mirrors the Empire Strikes Back.

    On the other hand, considering its collection of regular folk, business leaders and a few conservative superstars, the Tea Party is more akin to the Return of the Jedi.
