1,866 earmarks in Energy and Water Bill

Is it Christmas? Oh, wait. It's ALWAYS Christmas in Congress.

Want to see a full list of the earmarks in the Energy and Water Bill that the House is about to begin debating? Well, I hope you have some stamina because there are 1,866 of them to read.

You’ll notice that many of them are being requested by “the President.” That would be the Barack Obama 2012 re-election campaign project you are seeing there.

For some reason, my list is causing trouble with the code here, so the full list was posted by Jamie Dupree.

There were two replies here earlier. I was having major trouble with the code on this post so I ended up deleting those two comments. So, it wasn’t YOU guys, it was me. Your replies were not removed because of something you did.

    Thanks

is this a joke? the majority of these earmarks are put into the energy and water bill by the president. perhaps his strategy is that these spending indulgences are not earmarks because they were not put in by members of congress.

In addition to Obama getting his hand in your wallet, i’m currently alternating between Rush and Boortz.

Boortz is rattling off the cap and trade boondogales that YOU will be paying for.

Rush is laying out the increasing taxes coming to NYC and Wall Street.

I “hope” electing Obama is one heck of an education to the people to read the fine print before approving of something.

Obama’s fine print let anyone reading it know extremes like these were a possibility, now they’re reality. I “hope” the 6 weeks of feeling good will last the 6 years it takes to get America back on the tracks.

As I was going through the list quickly, I kept noticing Paul’s name after many of the earmarks. I totaled them, and they come to the above amount. Many believe Paul to be more than a kook, but, many listen to his statements concerning the dollar value, the need to cut the spending and blah blah blah. Yet he earmarks over $33 million. Beck needs stop thinking this guy has anything valid to say.

he has introduced the most pork. He right up there with Sheila Jackson-Lee(TX-18). I didn’t see my congressman there at all(Ted Poe [TX-02]) but I could be wrong. Warner, is there a way to get a spreadsheet on this as opposed to having all down the line.

just to see if Obama has cut out the states that didn’t vote for him.

I also looked to see if my Rep. Cantor (7th VA) has any earmarks here, and, thankfully he does not. I wonder if Obama put his name behind the majority just to protect any Dems. that may be vulnerable in 2010.

how Obama came up with the amounts that he earmarked for each project, in each state. Wouldn’t the Reps have had to give him the amounts?

I had the list, but it just wouldn’t post. There was something in it wrecking havoc with WordPress. I am afraid we are stuck with the link I posted unless someone has the time to copy the list and reformat it.

The people of his district need to wise up. And the RonPaul brigade needs to get a clue.
