Mitt and the Whitebreads

Remember back when?  Back when Warrior and others were straining to get a real conservative to run?  Oh, we were accused of the most awful things.  They said we were in love with Sarah Palin.  They said were were a one note samba, a one horse town, or we were “fixated” on Sarah Palin.  Don’t we wish we had that fresh, cool, conservative breeze now instead of the heated and gaseous winds coming from Newt and Mitt.  Market capitalism?  Why, that there is detestable.  Newt took mony from Freddie Mac.  Mitt closed Unimac (and others) and has now become the Bain of our existence.  Holder and Obama must be having late night laughing parties about the very public Republican train wreck now on display everywhere.

Remember back when some of us said the race card or some other device would be used to undermine our candidates.  Who knew it would be used against a black guy too (Cain in addition to Perry)?  How much sillier the current candidates look.  With liberals voting in the caucuses, they’ve again run the conservatives out (e.g. Bachman) and we are left with the worst market capitalism has to offer – millionaire RINOS with giant egos and voracious appetites for public swill or private greed (and I don’t use that term lightly).

Let us all say a collective prayer that whichever rich Republican phony wins the primary can beat Obama.  We will no longer have the country many of us have known, loved and fought for.  We will be left as a weak sister of Greece, Britain, France all the other failing socialiats European regimes.  Well, even though Warren Buffet can afford to pay higher taxes, I cannot.  Especially to bankroll an army of entitlement happy cast-abouts who believe they have a right to live out of my back pocket.  Ultimately, we cannot all work for or live off of the government.  Someone will have to know how to work and create wealth.  And the work ethic will be just as difficult to rekindle as the welfare mentality was easy to instill.

Yes, I remember when we were going to build on our 2010 gains and elect a conservative. How naive and foolish I feel now for ever having publicly expressed that belief. Romney has managed to sieze the republican nomination in a leveraged buy out and downsize the conservatives. The guy is good at what he does you have to give him that.

these morons insist on rigging the game so we vote in blue states with open primaries first, have the schedule crammed so tightly that an alternative to their compromising RINO slimeballs don’t have time to build momentum and the contest is over…

Since we will have this finalized so early, the Dems are going to have the better part of a year to build a narrative against Romney…relentlessly pound him with it, and we will be heading into into the general just like we did in 2008 with a demoralized base who will have to work up the will to go vote on election day.

Let’s just hope the demoralization won’t be so bad that we end up with a negative drag on down ballot races and blow the opportunity to expand our majority in the House and recapture the Senate.

I fear that last as the real danger in nominating Romney…not only do we run the risk of reelecting Obama in 3023 because of the RINO establishment’s intransigent arrogance….we run the risk of leaving the Senate in Harry Ried’s hands…and maybe even losing the House…

After the stunning victory of the 2010 elections which once again proves….when the Republican Base is energized, we can’t be stopped…as opposed so the 1992, 1996, 2006 and 2008 elections when the base was demoralized and we lost our shirts in the elections

    about that Texas…

also, another real danger in Romney is, even if he wins, he will govern like a lib (think McCain or W Lite), send us further down the road to big gubmint socialism and to top it all off, the Republicans will not only be blamed, but will not have a conservative leg to stand on when opposing Hillary or whoever comes up in ’16 for the Dems…

despite all her flaws and “negatives” (seems like a stupid concern now with StateHealthCare Mitt as our champion) Sarah Palin ENERGIZED THE BASE, and as you say, when energized, it “can’t be stopped.”

Oh, she also had momentum or could have easily created it.

And that’s why the media feared her so much and why we should have bcked her to the hilt. Now, except for the horrible Obama threat (re-election), we might as well all go to sleep and vote for Mitt.

I am praying for Newt. However, you talk about somebody with “negatives” — sheesh. I like his intellect and focused bombast, but I really don’t trust him now. He has moved into “Arlen Specter” mode, you know, spending his time worrying about his Legacy and what the NY Times will say about him in its next issue.

And was he against Cap & Trade before he was for it? or is it the other way around…who can keep up??
