Rick Perry forgets his three agencies–AGAIN. He is not a serious conservative candidate.

Governor Perry AGAIN mis-remembered the three agencies he planned on abolishing (by Presidentail fiat??):

http://nation.foxnews.com/rick-perry/2012/01/13/oops-he-did-it-again-perry-forgets-three-federal-agencies-he-wants-abolish

“‘Commerce, Interior, and Energy are the three that you think of.’ Problem: Those are NOT the three he had previously not been able to name. He swapped Interior for Education”

A serious presidential candidate, after the first “oops,” would know the names of the agencies as well as he knows the names of his three sons.

A serious constitutional conservative would know that unlike the Department of Education and Energy, the Department of the Interior is both very old–dating back to before the Civil War–and has a mandate that in large measure corresponds to powers actually delegated to the central government, e.g., regulation of the property of the United States.

Governor, please withdraw.  You’re getting in the way of the serious conservative candidates.

Incredible…He did replaced the Department of the Interior for Education….Good man with a great record…I just pray that he has a great heart as well to help galvanize conservatives around just one candidate to stop Romney!

I’m fully expecting Perry to pull the plug on his campaign after he doesn’t make the top three in South Carolina. If he insists on trundling onto Florida after that, then I agree it’s time for people to tell him to give it up.

all over the web this moring the media made rick perry sound like a complete fool, NOW THAT THE VIDEO HAS SURFACED ALL SITES ARE STARTING TO CORECT THEIR FIRST REPORTS. PERRY WAS JUST KIDDING WITH THE AUDIENCE

    “serious conservative candidates” now?

  • APA Guy

and Rick Santorum, but able to answer questions on the fly with skill and precision.

  • Ender

Santorum is only conservative on Social Issues, everything else from him is just talk inconsistent with his voting record. He is a nanny state non-conservative.

Gingrich is conservative and I like him, or liked him before the Bain attack, but the amount of skeletons in his closet casts a lot of doubt on the adjective “serious”. He is unelectable imo.

You base your whole decision on rhetoric? Your a joke. We are electing the leader of the free world here. A serious job that takes a serious person with a serious resume. We need someone who can step into the role and deliver results. Considering all that’s at stake what is wrong to you? He misspoke in his 50th speech today, that proves he isn’t a president. Can you hear yourself? Do you actually read this tripe before you post it? If you want a slick flashy well spoken used cars salesman as a leader might I suggest the democratic party. They’re leader is already everything your looking for and certainly a great deal better at the rhetoric than anyone in the GOP field. As for me I want a serious man with a serious record that demonstrates his ability to succeed. That isn’t Flip Romney, Spend Somemore Santorum or Baggagetrain Gingrich. The only president we have to offer is Rick Perry, a vote against him is a vote against your future. Get serious or join the rest of the dumbacrats supporting Obama.

THE TALKING HEADS LITTLE BY LITTLE CHIP AWAY AT ONES VIEW! I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON PERRY, HIS ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS HOPE HE PULLS IT OFF! TEXAS IS GREAT- THAT IS WHAT AMERICA COULD HAVE IF HE WINS!!

I live in a conservative part of a conservative state (Indiana). I speak with voters several times a day. NONE of them express ANY concerns about his “skeletons”, but rather are concerned with jobs and high gas prices. Newt was the MAN the last time we successfully addressed any of those two issues.

He is our best, most viable conservative option IMHO.

its all those who were upset at the almost shutdown this last summer.

As Perry says, we have a great debator in the WH and look where its gotten us? Does anyone ever remember Bush 43 being a great debator?
Personally, it all about culture; people in the North talk fast, people in the south talk slow (I can say that as I’m from GA).
I’d rather have a doer than a talker anyday
