AG Holder is going to release GITMO Prisoners into the USA

With the Executive Order calling for the closure of the GITMO detainment facility we all asked “What are you going to do with them?”  Well now we can safely say that the Obama Administration intends to release these enemy combatants directly into our communities.

Now I am not talking about a transfer of prisoners to Federal Penitentiaries, which would also be a bad idea, no I am talking about these people being released as free men into our country.  Furthermore, those released will not have even gone through a trial according to the Wall Street Journal’s article.

Mr. Holder, in a briefing with reporters, said administration officials are still reviewing individual cases of the approximately 250 detainees to determine which will be put on trial and which may be released to comply with plans to close the detention facility by next year.

Some still may not believe that this is really AG Holder’s intent…well let’s look at the direct quote:

people who can be released there are a variety of options that we have and among them is the possibility is that we would release them into this country, That process is ongoing and we’ve not made any determinations or made any requests of anybody at this point.

So these people who were captured on the battlefield are now going to be de facto citizens of the USA.  I would think that we would at least want to send them back to their home nations, but no, Holder doesn’t like that idea because

Among the detainees whose fate remains undetermined are 17 ethnic Uighurs, from the Central Asian region of China, who have been ordered released by a judge. The U.S. has refused to turn the men over to China, which considers them part of an separatist group

Now I understand that China is a big Human Rights abuser, but this time I agree with them.  Apparently AG Holder is worried more about the “rights” of these enemy combatants than he is our own citizens.

Releasing these individuals into our general population will, no doubt, weaken our ability to guard against another attack on our homeland.  It is foolish and wrongheaded…it is the Obama Administration.

If you control the government, you get to define the term. Especially if the courts are taken over by “living Constitution” types.

I think we’ve past the point of wondering if the Democrats are incompetent or stupid and are fast approaching a point where we need start asking if they are deliberately looking for another attack to happen here bacause anyone with a modicum of common sense should know that’s what this will result in!

Mark my words, It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

it sure is beginning to look that way!

I’m not a conspiracy kook…but how else do you explain this?

And trying to recommend mailloux’s yesterday cost me at least 25 or 30 clicks. It’s apparently a conservative recommend button–if you want if, you’re going to have to really work hard for it. :-)

    I appreciate your diligence too!

One could easily develop carpal tunnel trying to recommend diaries!

    Take Care, mailloux

I assume, go to Neil? Although I guess we can wait for that nifty universal health care thing. Guess we better keep it on the down low that we were disabled pursuing right wing policies. If Obama is willing to shaft the military, we aren’t worth a hill of beans–or a bandaid.

You guys do quality work, it’s my privilege to help promote it so you’ll keep doing it.

  • larueladue

I hope they let someone know who they are and where they are released… That way, local law enforcement (and other civic-minded citizens) can at least keep tabs on them…

  • aarongardner

They will probably just be dropped off somewhere in the middle of the night to start their new lives.

I am sure if the Republicans in the Congress pushed for some sort of database they would be pilloried in the press as xenophobic and all sorts of other nasty dem tactics.

  • justatron

Just when I think that this bunch of abject morons we have “running” our country couldn’t get any dumber…what possible good can come of this? Would the visions of MTV and McDonald’s and American Idol so enamor these misguided souls that they would willfully give up jihad, buy a condo and a flatscreen TV?

  • UpLateAgain

Then we could be told where they were. Murderers and terrorists don’t count.

  • janis

will be happy to provide the flatscreen TV, a furnished condo and possibly a timeshare in some lovely resort area. All to get that Gitmo nastiness behind them.

    What could possibly go wrong?

  • aarongardner
  • janis

care enough about TV to get a satellite dish, our only option if we wanted to continue to receive certain programs was to get the converter box. Like a good conservative, I insisted on paying the full price and disdained the coupon offer. Imagine my disgust when I found out that the converter box was only the start of the spending. We then tried to use an indoor amplifying antenna–no dice. That was another $40.00, but we took it back, talked to some folks and then got an outdoor antenna from Radio Shack. That was $104.00 plus tax. But it didn’t come with a cable to connect it to the converter box. So that was another $24. Then we had to spring for a 10′ mast to mount the damned thing on. It took us two and a half hours to put everything together and get it up so we could watch “24″ that night.

So my hope is that these Uighurs get stuck in a rural area with lousy transmission and they go through AT LEAST as much trouble we have had to! Although I’m betting that they won’t be trying to get it worked out in order to watch Jack Bauer kill terrorists.

more or less, in a decadent Western titty bar. It isn’t sin if you do it with an infidel or in an infidel land. If we just barred them from our Western sin dens, they’d dramatically reform their barbarous countries just so they could get a little on the side.

And all you guys think Alaska is remote and foreign; I got fiber optic cable, digital phones and all sorts of stuff they tell me is cool.

  • janis

be routed anywhere. I think it’s because houses are pretty far apart in these outlying areas. The local phone cooperative offers digital TV, but it’s so slow and clunky from what I hear that I’m not going to pay for more ineptitude from them–being hostage to them for my internet is bad enough!

While I may not have all the latest in high-tech stuff, Achance, I can grow lots of those tasty tender-skinned tomatoes. ZAP! ;-)

  • aarongardner

Kuwait is a dry country, technically….but give me 12 hours and I could show you at least 3 whore houses and a plethora of speakeasys.

And don’t even get me started on what goes on in the Muslim controlled areas of Bosnia, Kosovo and Macedonia.

  • janis

to “persuade” them to become suicide bombers in order to regain their honor.

  • larueladue

    It was just wishful thinking…

  • larueladue

The are just impoverished victims… They just need a hand up… Don’t demonize these poor souls! \ (ugh!)

to each of my neighbors’ houses – and I have a big lot for this part of the World, a full quarter acre. You couldn’t buy one of those close in these days if your life depended on it.

But, I can drive three miles to my boat and run half an hour and the houses are a hundred miles apart. Alaska is crowded except where it is empty.

Anyway, I was just giving you and others crap because everybody thinks Alaska is so remote and foreign; the urban areas are just as urban as any other place in America. The only difference is that they’re surrounded by millions of acres of wilderness.

  • avgamerican

Obama’s administration is in chaos but he doesn t seem worried. He ‘s out with Leno and on ESPN. His answer to the threat of terrorism is to deny it. Don t say enemy combatant and close Gitmo. One has to wonder if Obama is on planet earth or in his own imaginary world of make believe. I know this, when he said “democrats can protect America,” I didn t believe it then and I don t believe it now. And if we get attacked, I don t think Americans are going to settle for another bureaucratic 911 commission. Does anyone really believe we have not already become weaker since Jan 20?

  • UpLateAgain

Obama has figured out that his forte is campaigning, so he is perfectly happy to just go on doing that and let San Fran Gran Nan run the country.

Another FDR? Lincoln? even Kennedy? Nope. I don’t think so.

  • aarongardner

I remember something about the dems complaining about the “permanent campaign”..of the Bush WH….just another instance of extreme projection I suppose.

  • Mike gamecock DeVine

    and will never happen.

  • aarongardner

I really think that they will do it…but they will cover it all in the guise of humanitarian assistance and offerings of asylum from their hostile countries.

At this point I wouldn’t put anything past these guys.

  • Mike gamecock DeVine

in case we get attacked again on our soil. I know they are stupid, but think their is a limit to their stupidity in this area given all the Bush nat sec policies they have continued. It seems they got their mind right in the transition. I always said that the only way they bring any here for trial is if they have one or two they have the evidence to win in civil court. But we shall see. if they are indeed 100% buffoons.

  • aarongardner

This is about releasing those for which they can’t hold trials for…or one that they have deemed to not be a threat.

And as far as Obama getting it during the transition….I don’t think that was anything more than political posturing by the Admin.

Obama is a man who does not respect the value of human life….as seen by his BAIPA vote and his vile Special Olympic comments. I truly believe he could care less, as long as he has his manufactured crisis that he will use to take our weapons and our voice.

This guy is a committed leftist….tell me which one of the committed leftists in history was really just a buffoon rather than an totalitarian tyrant?

  • Rod_Patrick
  • Mike gamecock DeVine

Well, its not all political posturing given some court positions they have taken on detainees in Afghanistan and Gitmo; rendition and several other matters in this area that I don’t have time to list just now.

No one is “just” anything Aaron. People are mixtures. Obama is a mixture of buffoonery, Marxism, intelligence and stupidity!

Of course, we agree on Obama’s lack of character and his base beliefs. Al I am saying is that his actions (not just words) thus far in the nat sec area (with some major exceptions that I have written about myself on Pakistan and the UK, etc) show some sobriety against excessive risks of homeland attacks and in the area of presidential power that he has maintained. He has thus far given up NONE of the powers Bush and for that matter Washington-Lincoln-FDR-Bush have claimed for the executive.

If we were to have taken Obama for his word in the campaign, ALL of the Gitmo detainees would already be in the US either released into red states or awaiting their First OJ trial!

    He hasn’t done that.

  • aarongardner

I just don’t trust these guys…not one iota. They are everything they claimed President Bush to be.

  • aarongardner
  • Mike gamecock DeVine

understand they can’t go too far too fast. On the other hand, to even suggest releasing some into the US is quite risky as well, just like the making vets pay for war wounds was. Just like all this crap in the stimulus and now in the budget is. It seems Obama cares more about imposing Marxism and fundamental change than he does about re-election. I don’t know what’s worse.

What I do know is that we need blue dogs to actually stop some of this evil and that if the GOP is going to comeback, they need to focus on the big outrages and not join the dems on an amen chorus for the puny stuff like AIG exec bonuses.

an excuse to put federal troops on the street corner because of “the crisis”, where they will likely remain.

“Never waste a good crisis”- Rahm E

Don’t forget for a minute that these folks think they are smarter than God, and that you are dumber than a rock.
( In their mind, I think you are brilliant…)

For them to promote an attack to advance control of the people is not a stretch at all. For the outcome not to go as they predicted is pretty likely also.
Just as they kept trying to destroy the economy, it has started to turn on the Obamanation, so will this stupidity if it comes to pass.

Sadly it will involve innocents, just so the white house can be arrogant.

Think how much damage they would do if they were half as smart as they think they are…..
