MEMBER DIARY

A Political Theme Song for the Obama Generation

There I was completely wasting, out of work and down
All inside its so frustrating as I drift from town to town
Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

So much for the golden future, I cant even start
Ive had every promise broken, theres anger in my heart
You dont know what its like, you dont have a clue
If you did youd find yourselves doing the same thing too**

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

You dont know what its like

Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

Breaking the law

** “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. We are the hope of those boys who have little; who’ve been told that they cannot have what they dream; that they cannot be what they imagine. ”

Aaron B. Gardner

    And apt.

I woke up this morning thinking about all the graft and corruption that has been exposed so far in this administration and this song just kept running through my head. So I figure I would make the everlasting connection for everyone else as well. Like the saying goes…misery loves company. ;^)

I keep picturing “Bevis and Butthead” singing the, er, chorus.

…just when I thought I would never have to relive the B&B days again, fiction becomes reality.

I guess this is what happens when Mtv “Rocks the Vote.” First Clinton, now Obama – with Bevis as his Chief of Staff and Butthead as his Senior Advisor. OH, and Dharia in WH communications.

    You are so spot on
    MMM mmm mmm
    Good comparison.

Don’t think the subtle hints of JP/Halford’s weird proclivities are lost on us, either. We get it.
