Teachers’ Union Prays for Gov. Christie’s Death

It’s funny the way fear can manifest itself sometimes. Take HCR for example: when the Democrats in Congress were in fear of losing the debate, that fear manifested itself as a violent attack on an unarmed black man perpetrated by purple clad union thugs. More recently, we saw this fear manifest itself as a concocted tale of bigotry and an over active salivary gland on the steps of the Capitol.

Today we see another manifestation of fear by the left … prayers for the death of Gov. Christie.

“Dear Lord this year you have taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays. I just wanted to let you know that Chris Christie is my favorite governor.”

You see, Gov. Christie has the Bergen County Education Association’s [read that as teachers' union] knickers tied in knots. In order to battle the overspending in the NJ budget Gov. Christie has opted to cut $173 Million from higher education.

When confronted on this fear manifested as hate, Association president Joe Coppola is reported as saying:

the “prayer” was a joke and was never meant to be made public.

Wait, it wasn’t meant to be public? Neither were the Watergate tapes.

Sucks, don’t it?

the one we keep and pull out when the Left accuses our side of such dastardly words and deeds. The folder marked, Leftist Hypocrisy. I think it is several inches thick now, with all of their race cards, hate speech, calling for prominent members of our movement to die, and on and on.

I wonder if praying for the death of a sitting governor, by public employees, is grounds for investigation by the FBI. Guess not, only one side gets to have the “righteous” voice in this fight.

  • jimc1969

I’ve seen that. A teacher I know in Bergen County has that “prayer” on her facebook page.

He has the nerve to think they should take a WAGE FREEZE and actually PAY for something like 1.5% of their health care. Really, how dare he? Next thing you know he’ll be demanding they actually demonstrate COMPETENCE to get their 4% pay raises.

…when good men stand up for what’s right.

Gov. Christie is doing the right thing, which is why the teachers’ unions are launching everything they have at him. I pray for him as often as I can, because the steps he’s taking will ensure my kids are able to grow up in a cheaper and more free New Jersey (and hopefully, in 2016 after he’s done being awesome in NJ, in the US at large as well).

But I doubt these union parasites are consistent, especially in what they pray for.

is who they are praying TO.

We need to slash anything and everything, especially at the federal level. Thems the breaks when you’re in a recession but guess what – CUTS GET YOU OUT OF RECESSIONS! We need a reformer in Washington big time and the #1 goal should be drastic cuts across the board and many a bureaucrat should be let go bc when the economy shrinks govt should as well, govt grows and grows like an alligator no matter what else is happening.

In an older version of RS you could rank a comment 1-5 5 being the highest. Since that feature is now gone, we just put 5 in the comment title to indicate a particularly good comment.

In short, I found your comment very humorous. ;)

  • E Pluribus Unum
    • The fact that American intel could track trans-national banking transactions of terrorists.
    • The names and faces of CIA agents [not named Plame] who were interrogating terrorists at Gitmo
    • Photos of an American soldier mortally wounded in combat.
    • Details contained in Jack Ryan’s sealed divorce papers during his Senate campaign in IL, eventually won by……Barack Obama.
  • Richard Mullins

it really means that the media needed to get the details. It’s all a code word for “the forth estate gets everything”. If I were Governor Christie, I work on some prosecution of those in this prayer of his death. While it might seem like free speech letting it go, it wish the death of an elected official.

  • http://realchangeandsense.blogspot.com jamesrileyjr

He’s got bigger fish to fry, for one thing.

For another, it’s not an explicit threat against his life – just a wish of doom from those who stand to lose everything. Were it an explicit threat against him, the NJ State Police would take down the parties responsible and prosecute to the fullest extent allowable by law.

For example, I can say I wish Barry O, Plugs and Stretch would all die of horrible flesh-eating diseases that would make the stuff in horror movies and on Fringe look like the common cold all I want – however, it becomes an entirely different matter if I start seriously talking about methods to make this happen.

that they snap and realize how wrong they have been…

then go to their local leftists anonymous support group and quietly take a step back from being part of the problems we face in this country…

And then he substituted Christie’s name (for Pelosi’s, I believe). IOW, he gets a failing grade for plagiarism. And some really stupid plagiarism, at that.

  • spim

…. better sick the AFL/CIO on these radical teachers !!

  • GCBWI

Used against Pelosi, and others. Juts cut and paste the names.

The wheel goes round. Aaron would have done better to leave this one alone

  • Aaron Gardner

Why should I avoid making a legitimate overall point just because dems are bad at plagiarism?

Maybe you missed the whole point of my post, which was to show that the Dems are afraid of Gov. Christie.

That fear is manifesting itself as hate.

If you want to ignore that go for it, I on the other will exploit my opponents follies.

I doubt it was new when he used it in 1765. Still the fact that godless statists would distribute a prayer is a good example of their hypocracy. I’ve heard better humor if that was their goal…

It seems Satan himself was conducting a spot inspection of hell a few days ago. Just to make certain that the levels of suffering were high enough for his taste.

He walked into one chamber filled with cries of torment and pain and saw one white haired, elderly gentleman who just did not seem to be suffering enough. Satan sauntered over toward him and said, “Teddy, did I tell you that a Republican won your seat?”

    Now that’s funny!

I know what you’re trying to do. No argument there. But others, strangers, guests, even enemies, who read here may not. They can take this and use it a month from now as just another example of right wing duplicity and hypocrisy, attacking a cut-and-paste prayer that in fact was used by our side, long after the Christie element in it has faded entirely from memory.

    You’re already in their cross-hairs

  • JX12

This is the first time I haven’t seen it used against Obama. I light of that, I just can’t seem to get worked up over the fact that someone on the left is now using it against a Republican.

Having said that, however, it’s always encouraging to know who they fear, because that means he’s doing something right. Hope more Republicans do things in political office to make Democrats similarly afraid of them. That can only be good for us.

  • Aaron Gardner

I am not worried about being in their cross-hairs, in fact, if I weren’t in their cross-hairs. that would be proof that I’m doing it wrong.
