Attacking Fox News in Denver

Democratic National Convention

Today I had the dubious privilege of attending a protest here in Denver. Recreate68 and several other protest groups organized a rally with speeches and music, followed by a protest march to the entrance to Pepsi Center, where the convention will be held. I have a number of videos and photos, but I wanted to post this one right away. I was able to capture an attack on a Fox News crew by the rabid crowd. I’m warning you now, the language is EXTREMELY FOUL.

I have much more to post later tonight, but I wanted to jet this one out as soon as it was ready.

These attackers were filled with hate for Fox News. They were enraged, moved to action. And Why? Because they think Fox is conservative. That’s it. That’s why.

These protesters claim to oppose war, but they are happy to conduct their own. They lust for a world where all will follow the same path. These protesters speak of freedoms, but they practice oppression. They speak of fairness, but they practice injustice. They speak of tolerance, but they act with hate. This is who marched on Denver today. This is who will march on Denver on all week.

Be wary, Denver. Say or do the wrong thing and you may just be silenced. Just like they tried to silence Griff Jenkins.

95% of the probably have signs that mention facism.

  • Brandozilla

We need to realize that these people are their base.

    It is disgusting.

  • itrytobenice

What was it my grandma said? A man is known by the company he keeps.

I know BO doesn’t technically know these kooks, but the fact that they are democrats doesn’t speak very highly of the D party.

  • BooBooKitty

on one protestor’s shoulder. I think that alone is the greatest condemnation of these idiots.

  • SteveLA

Way to go Libtarts…Free Speech killed today in Denver…

  • TPNoGa

As a former employee of Fox, I LOVE IT! Do those idiot commies not realize that Fox employees love being hated by them. We laughed at being the enemy of anti-American commie dems. LOVE IT! Bring it ON!

  • dld1717

The Dems will be rimming MSNBC at this Convention just watch!

This won’t be first attack on Fox here but at RNC Convention you won’t see us attacking physically any MSNC people.

I will say this: Why were the policy just standing there and letting a physical assault take place?

  • E_Pluribus_Unum

and to think they are accepted and embraced by the party — and in fact, it seems that their kind (the far-left militants) are driving the party.

It is because of people like this that the Dems:
    (1) leave DC before discussing domestic drilling.
    (2) delay and short-change the funding for the soldiers in Iraq
    (3) fight the confirmation of originalist judges with every dirty trick imaginable.

These people are the enemies of America.

Johnny Dollar has the vid of Griff on FNC at probably the same mob scene. They’re chanting the same thing.

They’re feeding off each other. As the week goes on and these cats get liquored up, this could get interesting.

  • QueenOfCups

I can’t wait for the next time Griff is on Redeye!

And Griff of all people to attack – he’s such an amiable fellow!

What a bunch of idiots… reminds me of the book “Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds”

  • kowalski

They should completely call off the police presence, give the crowd Molotov cocktails, and let these lunatics burn Denver to the ground for the cameras, to show America and the rest of the world what the base of the Democratic Party in America can really do when they get their way.

    • Moe_Lane

…that they’ve been stuck with this thing.

      • kowalski

Chicago refused to host the Republican National Convention — even though they had more than enough convention venue space and plenty of accomodations. They made a political decision and so did Denver, Colorado by accepting the DNC. It may not be the fault of every single person in Denver, but it’s the city’s fault for letting these barbarians in the door. It’s also the Democratic Party’s fault for creating them. I say let them reap the whirlwind.

  • generalgrant

Fair and balanced is just too much for the Obots.

    • bk

If Bush hadn’t created such despair with his illegal wars forcing the world to hate us, tax breaks for his oil buddies so they could raise gas prices beyond affordability, and stealing people’s houses they wouldn’t feel that sense of desperation that leads to violence.

      Something like that.

  • phred

that have already been set up in Denver is testament that the organizers were expecting this. Why would these “people?” be protesting the closest thing that they have ideologically?

Reminds me of the English brawling thugs at the soccer matches. The match was secondary, the event was the fight.

    • Moe_Lane

This is their bar. They’re two of the people who will reaping the whirlwind.

Look, I’d love for the SOBs inside the convention and the SOBs outside screaming about how it isn’t Marxist enough to just go ahead and MAD each other, but the fact of it is that they’re playing in the middle of a populated area.

      • kowalski

Those are all the messages the Democratic Party has gone out of its way to instill in its base over the past 8 years, and their base is overflowing with hatred. This isn’t 1968: there aren’t any flower children any longer — this isn’t about Make Love not War and tuning in, turning on and dropping out — these people are postmodern thugs, and the Democrat party has created them on purpose. I think they should at least be honest with themselves and let them do as they will.

The modern Democratic Party is all about Al Franken losing his temper and knocking people upside the head, throwing stones through windows and creating chaos. Well, Denver should let the children of the children of the ’60s have their way and warn the world.

        • kowalski

And of course it isn’t going to happen. Nobody in Denver is going to let the police allow the maniacs to destroy their city: but the media should be showing people the “authentic voice” of the Democratic Party: it’s a violent, destructive, extreme and obscene voice, and it is one that Democrat politicians have created.

          • phred

chanted from chain-link cages that were set up “to protect them?”

          • Moe_Lane

            NT

          • kowalski

The people of Denver have voted twice to legalize possession of marijuana, most recently in amounts up to an ounce. So instead of letting the maniacs burn the city down, they can show the world the flipside of the Democrat base: stoned out of its mind.

          • kowalski

BTW letting them toke up is a good move politically, because it’ll give them lots of motivation to stand in front of television cameras — stoned out of their minds — and talk about how stopthedrugwar.org isn’t very pleased with Obama’s VP choice. They were hoping for someone more “enlightened” — someone more like Obama himself, whatever that means.

Thus the silver-lining may be that as Vice President, Biden would no longer be serving on the judiciary committee, where he’s exerted his influence in the form of the various atrocities outlined above. As VP he’d technically be losing his authority over drug policy issues, except to whatever extent Obama may seek his advice when selecting the drug czar and so forth. It’s certainly possible that Obama’s more enlightened views would prevail within his administration, or even that Biden’s “tough on crime” credentials could provide cover for reform, but Biden would be a strange ingredient in the behind-the-scenes reform agenda that’s so often attributed to Obama by liberal reformers. It was bad enough when Obama softened his reform positions to avoid attacks from the right. Will he now begin watching his step around his own running mate?

So the stoners don’t like Biden but the silver lining in theri view is that by becoming Vice President, he would lose his authority over drug policies that they don’t like, because his boss would be more “enlightened.”

This is a rich vein of material and the RNC should be exploiting it to the hilt.

  • simpson316

Looking forward to a lot more coverage from this weeks festivities. It’s going to be wild if this is already happening and the convention hasn’t even started yet.

  • jdripper

FOX needs to interview the Chief of Police for Denver and ask him are all of his officers afraid to do their jobs like that one cop? Get that cop’s name and make him the poster child for coward cops.

    • RatedTV_MA

“Why would these “people?” be protesting the closest thing that they have ideologically?”

Great question. The libs are always the first ones to cry and whine about the First Amendment, so why, then, would they try to silence anyone else’s First Amendment rights? Oh, yeah, that’s right, because Fox News isn’t going to broadcast their idealogical stance. Silly me.

      Hypocrite much?

      • RatedTV_MA

Please pardon my typo. Should have paid better attention.

        • Yared

Fox does give the liberal opinion. It is a fair-enough network. Libs just assume that Fox is a network of right-wingers spewing hate because that’s what they hear. Hardly any of them have ever watched it.

  • nod90

“I’m John McCain and this is why you need to vote for me.”

  • ukobserver

“Great question. The libs are always the first ones to cry and whine about the First Amendment, so why, then, would they try to silence anyone else’s First Amendment rights?”

I have to ask this, but when did they try to silence the guy fron Fox? He asked if he could interview them, and they didn’t answer. I didn’t know that the 1st Amendment meant that when you are asked for an interview by a NEWS REPORTER you had to answer them. You don’t even have to answer questions from the police or in court if you don’t wish to! When did Fox become so powerful in the US that refuesing to answer a request by a junior Fox reporter for an interview is now classed as denying HIM his 1st Amendment rights?

“Oh, yeah, that’s right, because Fox News isn’t going to broadcast their idealogical stance. Silly me.”

Oh dear!!! Fox news is supposed to be FAIR AND BALANCED!!! You do know that they actually put that front and centre everywhere right? And that they get their broadcasters and commentators to say that at every ad break. If they were Fair and Balanced as they like to proclaim you would think that they SHOULD be broadcasting their idealogical stance. The fact that the self-proclaimed “Fair and Balanced” network isn’t shows it to be Partizan and Biased. If they put that on the billboards they may get a bit more respect.

As for the Faux outrage at the language? To quote one Fox commentator “F* it, we’ll do it live!”

    • bk

It’s a KnownFact that FNC is a bunch of right-wing hateful bigots who would starve poor people, deny old people medical care, lock up all illegals and dump them at the border, etc. Just like all Republicans.

      • bk

is a bit warped. For example, if some conservative speaker is invited to a college campus and these folks:
        - Make implied threats of violence if such a hateful divisive person is allowed to appear
        - Assault the speaker with pies or other hurled objects
        - Disrupt the speech through screaming, running around, setting off fire alarms, etc.
then they would argue they’re just exercising their first amendment rights.

But if there is even the mildest sort of objection against any left-wing speaker, it’s the fascist right-wingers trying to suppress free speech. Same thing if campus police try to quell a riot from the first paragraph – it would be called gestapo cops trampling constitutional rights.

Did you catch the mother holding her toddler in the middle of the scuffles? (It’s at the beginning of the vid.) It looks like she is staying in the middle of the fight.

That’s good parenting. I wonder what the child was thinking during all this??

This reminds me of the mothers who take took their kids out to sit in front of military equipment trucks in Frisco.

  • ukobserver

Who would take a picnic to a lynching. Wonder where that alaogy came from.

  • ukobserver

    Meant to say ANALOGY!!

  • Rod_Patrick

Our enemy has adulterated the concept of “democracy”.

Saying that it’s just a case of political correctness is worst euphemism that any conservative can think of. These people have a dark agenda. Their anti-war rhetoric is not really anti-war… it’s anti-America and sadly, it’s Socialism in its true form.

Such anti-American spirit among these kind of Americans is actually coming from the fact that they are advocating for International Communism… whose main principle is anchored on the belief that “America is a Bully”. They are linked with the largest network of modern Socialism that is advancing in Latin America and Europe. Sadly, some UN agencies and NGOs are parties to this betrayal against America.

you and your fellow countrymen don’t speak German.

    Two interesting anecdotes…

    • They showed a clip of him trying to get to Ward Churchill to ask a question. He was grabbed by a group of large “bodyguards” to prevent his getting anywhere near him. The funny part was one of these thugs telling him “You have to follow the rules!” Priceless.

    • He said that one of the times he was assaulted by the “anarchists”, one of the people who came to his aid telling the thugs to leave him alone was Cindy Sheehan!

  • CSUFBomb

…you’ll see more communists than at the closing ceremony in Beijing.

More physical threats to anyone with an opposing viewpoint. More manufactured rage and class hatred. More anti-free market propaganda. More calls for massive government-sanctioned redistribution of wealth. More protests against the Patriot Act and Gitmo while simultaneously demanding that government take away choice in education, health care, self-defense, transportation, and energy.

The collectivist brats are running loose in the streets of Denver and the Dems are incapable of providing any semblance of adult supervision.

    • MelZ

I thought liberals were sweet and gentle. Only Republicans are filled with hate. Surely THESE people are not Democratic base!

      • phred

in front of the reporter to block the camera thus rendering the shot useless. At the very least the rudeness of the action did prohibit the reporter from, well, reporting.

Even dead-nutz center reporting would be far to the right of the herd in this video.

        • larueladue

I was kind of hoping to see a cop step in and arrest him for child endangerment…

  • larueladue

are brown-shirted uniforms and a political leader astute enough to manipulate these geniuses to his/her advantage… Thank God that Obama didn’t learn anything from his “community organizing” days…

    • RatedTV_MA

      Thanks, bk. :)

Honestly, I don’t know why Fox News would WANT to give air time to liberal morons interviewing them anyway, unless, of course, they just wanted to parade the worst of the worst on national/international television. Hmm…
