Jake Tapper Cleans Robert Gibbs’ Clock

You know, the phrase “bwa ha ha ha” is thrown around a lot these days …

Seriously, that was game, set, and match. Gibbs’ stuttering and stumbling is already becoming the stuff of buffoon legend. This wasn’t even the only such moment in the grueling press conference today. When repeatedly challenged on what the President means by reaching across the aisle on stimulus while rejecting all Republican ideas, Gibbs literally has no answer. He merely replies.

The best part is that Gibbs and Obama are getting hammered on things that they claim as their sovereign ground, like transparency, bipartisanship, lobbyists. And all by the mainstream press that was a complicit Obama campaign ally.

Gibbs is the perfect guy for this job, really. When he stutters, stumbles, has no answer, or simply flat tries to get out of something … well it’s just pitch perfect representation of the Obama administration, now isn’t it?

    on you. One day you’re person, the next, a non-person as a magical call from the Clinton WH begat some years ago.

    Is it possible we, the untutored, have been misled about the superior intelligence of those on the left ? The Lords of the Press will not long suffer the foibles of those unable to lie and disassemble with rapidity, which is what Democrat WH press secretary’s are for.

      Didn’t that just happen with a FOX reporter at a recent White House press conference? I think it might have been a comment by the “big” man himself.

      it the equivalent of being in “Bizarro World” to see an Obama person getting the tough questions and to also read commentary from the lefties where they express their disappointment or disapproval of something that Obama said or did.

      How sweet it is to see them finally get a glimmer of what most of us here have long known about this pretender to the office.

    The Left is certainly not going to tolerate this sort of questioning of their man-god for long before going into full Bork mode on Jake Tapper’s @$$. He’ll probably be lucky if he gets a job writing for a bird-watcher’s magazine.

    We can’t forget the bond of love there is between the MSM and Obama. I’m sure Jake will take a cold shower after this one and he’ll be back sing harmony with Helen.

    The media will challenge Obama, but only in the same way a parent challenges his one-year-old to take his first steps. They nudge, but they are right there to catch him if he falls lest any hair on his head is disturbed.

      He’s one of the few “journalists” who managed to retain their dignity through the election. He had some great critiques in his blog quite often.

      They think Obama needs to spend time with them, not send some ignorant two-bit lackey with the worst sense of humor I’ve ever seen. They’ll start to tire quickly if Obama doesn’t make more appearances.

      Besides they have plenty of time to start kissing butt during the 2010 election year; they can pretend to be real journalists for this year.

    I’ve seen a couple of his performances and he makes Scott McLellan look like a genius. He is very condescending toward the reporters in general and has a stupid sense of humor that should grow old real fast. Plus he never answers their questions.

    The other day someone – I want to say Helen Thomas – asked when Obama was going to have a press conference. He tap-danced about how busy Obama’s schedule was and he’d try to find time and blah blah blah and then in his usual flip manner says, “Can you be here at 2am?” I was waiting for someone to yell out, “Sure I can be here at 2am!”

    It’s amazing that they can now embalm people while they’re still more or less sentient. But whoever did her makeup should be taken out and shot. Or signed up for the clown dressing room at the circus.

    As to Gibbs’ performance, he is absolutely perfect for Obama. Both of them were ALL about the campaigning. Now that they actually have to do the job, neither one of them have got a clue.

    God bless Jake Tapper–may the lefties’ heads explode every time they see him on the air. Jake is as close to impartial as we can get in the MSM.

    It reminds me of the old OLD commercial for Little Ceasar’s pizza. It may have been Clara Peller putting on her makeup while the airplane was being bounced around because it was caught by a glob of mozzarella. The lipstick went all over her face. I think she came out and asked, “How’s that?”

    Gibbs is just another bit of evidence that it’s still Amateur Hour at the White House. But we have to be fair. Who COULD answer those questions honestly and keep his job?
