It will get worse, too. When all these policies they’re pushing utterly fail, guess who’ll get blamed? Not Congress, not Obama, but us for “not doing our part.”

Remember Michelle Obama’s comment about sacrificing in a speech she gave about what “Barry” would expect from us?

the Biden one about being tested and BO having to do something at the time that might not be popular, that gets me. I mean whats he going to do that won’t be popular at the time but will given time become popular, the Draft? or well I don’t even want to go there but…just saying.

For letting him get elected. We didn’t do enough. 2010 we have to regain both houses of congress. 2012, Dear Leader ZerO goes away. And we spend a generation fixing the mess he makes over the next 4. Maybe we can prevent America’s bankruptcy.

…not opposing Bush and the congressional GOP when they were going on wild spending binges over the last 8 years as well. This is not a 100% Democrat issue in which the GOP is clean as the wind-driven snow. I applaud those who are speaking out for limited government now, but where were they for the past few years?

I think it is a faulty strategy to try and make this whole economic mess, the police-state tactics of DHS, etc the exclusive property of Obama and the Democrats. Yes, what they are doing is egregious and worth condemning. The Democrats are going to spend us into oblivion. But who started this mess? Remember Medicare Part D? Remember the Patriot Act? Remember years of deficit after deficit after deficit under the GOP controlling the executive and legislative branches?!?

Voters are not going think that conservatives are being intellectually honest if they perceive that we are trying to absolve the Bush administration of any wrongdoing over the past 8 years.

…”Blame the right wing extremists! Including but not limited to: veterans, Christians, pro-lifers, gun owners, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Ann Coulter, people who oppose gay marriage, people who ~aren’t~ illegal immigrants, people who watch Fox News, people who cancelled their subscription to the New York Times any time after 1996, people who use charcoal grills, rednecks, roughnecks, and anyone with an old Bush/Cheney sticker on their car.”

To listen to this man, travel from one country to the next, blaming this country for every ill affecting the world and never, ever giving us credit for the good we have perfomred. I don’t know what’s more discouraging, his arrogance and confidence to spew this nonsense unassailed, or the fact that the American people sit idly by and take in in unaffected. Now we’re given this atrocity of a report from Janet Napolitano, telling us the threat posed by right-wing extremists (aka our military), and no one is embarassed. She should be FIRED for allowing that report to be not only published, but disseminated to police forces throughout the country. And is Mr. Blame US embarassed. Hardly; he’s spewing his Blame US nonsense in Mexico and can’t be bothered. Elections matter; and we’re paying dearly for this last round.

BB&T (BBT: 24.36, 3.27, 15.5%), a large Southeast U.S. regional bank, said Friday it plans to repay its TARP funds as soon as possible, citing the negative perception and conditions that comes along with the bailout cash.

Hours after reporting a 37% plunge in quarterly profit that managed to exceed expectations, BB&T CEO Kelly King told analysts the TARP funds are ?destructive? to the company.

?Our plan is to repay the [TARP funds] as soon as it is humanly possibly,? Kelly said. ?It creates excessive controls, it has a negative impact on our people and our strategies? and ?it runs a great risk of politicizing the lending process, which is very unhealthy.?

What’s in a name? A lot more than history, apparently.

Faculty at Brown University ? the seventh-oldest and arguably the most progressive of America’s higher learning institutions ? caved into pressure by students and teachers trying to right the perceived wrongs of history by voting earlier this month to rename the Columbus Day holiday as “Fall Weekend.”

Proponents cited Christopher Columbus’ enslavement and violent treatment of Native Americans, and argued the name of the Italian explorer should be expunged from the day of celebration.

Dumbfounder… just don’t know what to say about this.. Ah Ah AH
