So witty, so clever, so sophisticated!

We need to figure out how to ram this one down their throats - figuratively speaking, of course.

“A Man for All Seasons” is my favorite all time movie. In my family, we had a tradition of allowing the birthday child to pick a movie for the family to see. When I was 12 or 13, this was my choice. Keep meaning to find it on DVD.

Thanks Janis.

I watched it for the first time a few months ago using Netflix. You must have been a prodigy to appreciate that movie as a teen.

and then out into the blogosphere. These people think that they are mainstream, but the average American wouldn’t touch garbage like this, much less applaud it.

Thanks for the work you did on this one, Caleb. We all need a shower after viewing this disgusting stuff. (Dear Lord, please don’t let the man who wrote this have any children. He’s patently unfit to raise a child.)

Agree Janis, as I said of Smagar's earlier alert to this, My God!

penguin2 Tuesday, June 2nd at 1:07PM EDT (link)

I had followed Smagar’s link to Caleb elsewhere and saw these pictures and statements. I was so shocked, as well as nauseated. I never go to any of the leftist sites, thus am shielded from how downright nasty and yes, evil they are. OTOH, I am grateful to those that track these sites and inform us, because we need to know, so we can do something, anything. We should not let this go.

And as I noted in comment on Smagar’s diary, there are only vile adjectives for this.

My call to God is really for comfort. May God Bless and protect/ shield these women, as well as any others subjected to such hatred.

thinking like this comes from. Strike that, I know exactly where this thinking comes from, it comes from the darkness of a soul that is empty of faith and knows no moral authority above the negative threshold of his own. What’s even worse is that the powers that be at Playboy allowed this to go out in the first place. And they don’t get credit for retracting it either.

I thought playboy

Do you think it's whimsical, too, mbecker908?

6eorge Jetson Tuesday, June 2nd at 1:28PM EDT (link)

The article makes light of the idea of raping 10 women.

You’re response is not much different than that of

Politico’s Anne Schroeder

if what you want to talk about is who is and who is not on the list.

A little refinement

6eorge Jetson Tuesday, June 2nd at 2:36PM EDT (link)

There are two stories here.

1) A whimsical treatment of the raping of 10 women

2) The Top 10 hottest conservative women

There’s nothing wrong with the second by itself. An rather interesting Dave Letterman Top 10 water cooler chat topic, if you will.

The first is appalling. Shocking. Scandalous. The writer, Guy Cimbalo, should be deservedly shamed.

Politico’s Anne Schroder somehow managed to read Cimbalo’s story above and come away with the notion that what was newsworthy was the second part of the story. Again, by itself, it’s an intriguing topic. But in the appalling shadow of first part of the story, it really is trivial. By focusing on it solely, Anne displayed an enormous leftist blind spot/bias. To a lesser degree, we at RedState diminish the harsh treatment the first part of the story undeniably deserves when we allow ourselves to mix it with the Dave Letterman-like water cooler talk.

In point of fact,

mbecker908 Tuesday, June 2nd at 3:42PM EDT (link)

I don’t find the topic worthy of discussion at all. I find it patently offensive and, in fact, I pounced on some idiot here who posted a diary or a comment about Michelle Bachman.

With respect to Moe’s comment, there’s a reasonable likelihood that this jerk is safer with Todd.

I thought the left was the party for women?

Derrogatory and sexism at its best!

Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty.

Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.

No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!

They only care about

molybdanthan Tuesday, June 2nd at 9:15PM EDT (link)

Leftist women. And hypothetical women in peril.

Why did no one from NOW decry BJ Clinton for his alleged rapes, and proven sodomite predilections? They would rather go after Justice Thomas, or whomever is the GOP sexist de jour. Do they speak out against any male Lib politician? Never. They love them (inasmuch as a feminist can love any man).

Playboy’s days are numbered. It’s your grandfather’s porno mag. Don’t they see that being a conservative is sexy now, what with the rebellious attitude and anti-establishment viewpoint. And don’t they see that Liberalism is doomed. A philosophy that has to attach ‘hate’ to everything, even the most intimate of human interaction.

Not the party of women

JHancock Friday, June 5th at 12:19AM EDT (link)

Just the party of unmarried women who have no respect for their bodies, future relationships, or actual femininity–who think it’s OK for “boys to be boys” and have the occasional “hate f**k” so long as the woman gets her orgasm too and has the option of aborting the resulting baby.

Essentially the “Hedionist” let’s-all-not-respect-each-other and use-other-peoples-affections-for-our-own-pleasure Party.

party of poverty for women and gov daycare for children

mom2oneson Friday, June 5th at 12:33AM EDT (link)

These leftist women’s influence is a HUGE contributer to poverty of women and children due to their disdain for marriage and male protection and provisions in my opinion. I know there are many families that would be under the poverty line but there is a big difference in the quality of life between an a employed man earning $20K per year with a stay at home wife and 2 homeschooled kids vs a single mother earning $9K with three kids in gov daycare or schools and she is at work all day even though they are both below the poverty line.

Agree...

JHancock Friday, June 5th at 12:50AM EDT (link)

Also boys less likely to be socially pathologic, and girls statistically have fewer partners when raised with a father, plus risk of child abuse/molestation higher with live-in boyfriend than natural father.

false philanthropy

Again, I urge you to read Bastiat’s The Law. You can read the entire thing here:
http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Law_(Bastiat)

All you’re really going to do is grow the size of government. So little of the money intended to serve the needy actually gets to them. The majority is consumed by Government middle-men. All legally, of course. That’s the way the game is played.

We would all be better off if we adopted a needy family, and took government out of the equation. That, and exercising our right of self-determination. Ask yourself, who are these people that think they know better than you how to manage your life? And why would anyone bestow that awesome responsibility to another?

I'm not for growing the government

mom2oneson Friday, June 5th at 1:17AM EDT (link)

believe me I’m the last person for that. I totally agree with you about private charity. I’m not sure how you grouped me in with the grow the gov crowd. I’ve argued alot on here about the dangers of gov programs especially having to do with children.
Thank you for the link I’m glad it’s online.
I agree with you about adopting a needy family. I will say that lower income people seem to be more realistic about helping one another than what I see with middle class and upper middle class. I’ve seens this is my own church. The more well off have this idea that people should just be “referred” to other places there is no way they would ever go adopting a family, unless of course it’s Christmas time and they want to buy presents LOL. It kind of sickens me when people will inquire about “what place can we send this person too” instead of saying “hey who can give something towards ___(need)” and take care of it and let the person get back to their life. I agree with you about the self determination and responsibility, you are 100% right, it’s bad and they totally do have they idea that they know better.

I didn't think so

molybdanthan Friday, June 5th at 2:40AM EDT (link)

That’s from a Tool song, and the madness spreads when people take the message to heart. There is so much ugliness in the world. To paraphrase Dr. Laura, the only thing that’s sinful anymore is dessert. And it’s hate-speech to speak out against the many moral outrage coming from the Left.

I remember the ‘artists’ who displayed various religious objects in excrement. Pure filth, every one. Ironically, the Left claimed 1st Amendment rights for such things, whether they came from here or not. They protected degradation, as they practice it now. The Left that wants to take those same rights from us.

.. but that term (H-F) is a lot more popular than people may think. Reading the various responses to it on various sites has been interesting. There is definitely a cultural and generational divide. I am not going to defend it for a second. But it is a common term used in young bachelor circles and it is not associated with rape. It most often used in the context of exes (people who break up and end up having sex because they are still attracted to each other.) Perhaps,it is a sign of our cultural decadence that people joke about rough sex so freely, but this doesn’t shock me coming from Camp Heffner. Not for a second.

acknowledged the casualness of it as you have pointed out… Certainly didn’t go anywhere near the point of the context/extend of the diary, but I wanted to back your comment/point that it is a more common “phrase” and thought (again, not necessarily to the extreme as may think/take it).

In this context, its meant to objectify these women; that they need a good **** to get them to shut up/get them back in line. I mean the captions show no playful, respectful attraction, that’s for sure.

Playboy is SO SO SO SO SO despicable.

Rod_Patrick Wednesday, June 3rd at 3:02AM EDT (link)

The article by that Guy (he’s a Devil Incarnate btw) is totally horrible.

It’s really VILE VILE VILE attack to all Conservative women in the country.

That Devil Incarnate should be required to make a public apology against all Conservative Women and to all Americans.

I'm surprized about two things with Peggy Noonan.

Chemical Sam Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:06AM EDT (link)

1) That she got on the list ahead of Cindy McCain or Sarah Palin, or Ann Coulter, and
2) That they didn’t refer to her as the Nooner.

Peggy’s been soft on the left a bit these days, I think. I stopped reading the Opinion Journal on line because of her new tone. Apparently the author of this filth hasn’t been reading lately.

It’s a clear sign to me that the author knew exactly what he was doing, because he left out the more powerful targets in his list, the beautiful women I mentioned above, the ones more likely (in his mind) to fight back.

That’s the profile of a man who targets vulnerable women, like a rapist might. How’s that grab you Playboy-writer-dude?

Of course I think he made a mistake thinking that most of them wouldn’t fight back.

My way out of a recession or depression: Start a new company and start making some serious money! The lab is now ready! — http://www.criterionchemical.com

And, I should also say...

Chemical Sam Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:09AM EDT (link)

I love and trust these women. When they and the three I mentioned speak, and all others who follow their message, I trust whatever comes out of their mouths as accurate, well-intentioned, good for the country. They’re outwardly beautiful because inwardly they love this country, and want to see it improve.

Bad business decision considering Playboy's target demographic

WarEagle01 Wednesday, June 3rd at 8:40PM EDT (link)

is men, last I checked: real men who at least think they are manly and actually LIKE WOMEN. That means precious few of them are in the testicularly-challenged Democrat party. I wonder if the “guy” who put this thing together actually thinks men talk like that. I bet a lot of his friends are women.

marshmom Wednesday, June 3rd at 11:03PM EDT (link)

Well, it would’ve been hard to make a list like this about the liberal women because there aren’t any attractive liberal women.
Hillary Clinton?
Diane Feinstein?
Janet Reno?
Napalitano?
Romer?
And Chemical Sam, you are so right about this man picking women who wouldn’t fight back. I’d have loved to see him put Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin on his little list. I’d also like to ball it up and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine.
This list is truly despicable, hateful and inexcusable. It’s that kind of smut that perpetuates REAL sex offenders and makes them think it’s “okay” to treat women like that. Pig.

Its outrageous to us

Joliphant Friday, June 5th at 9:16AM EDT (link)

For its targeted demographic its spot on. Its shooting for young highschool and college age boys and men and trying to plant the idea, that conservative women are shrewish and not quite sane.

My own thought would be to do the same to their side, but nature and exposure have done a far better job than any poison pen ever could.

As inppropriate as it may be, they actually do stumble upon a valid point; the female pundits on the right are much hotter per capita than those on the left or society as a whole.

I have seen maybe one or two really attractive liberal ladies (on Fox ofcourse), but they are few and far between. Most of the lefty ladies look like Rachel Maddow, Joy Behardt, etc.
