I’m a Town Clerk in a small agricultural town. Yesterday I received a mailing at the town’s address for an organization with the initials “PIRG.” It looked like junk mail, and smelled a little like a scam, so I just threw it on my desk where it’s sitting right now. Seeing those initials in the Craigslist ad above now I’m really interested. I looked around in the letter and couldn’t find anywhere that identified the letters “PIRG.” Anyone know what they stand for?

Activists Taking Action: Unified Patriots

$11 to $16 per hour? Oh, I can’t wait for these mental giants to knock on my door telling me how I am wrong and how Obama just wants the best for us.

I will be attending Rep. Coffman’s town hall meeting on the 12th. It will be interesting to see how many “professional” activists show up.

I wonder if Pelosi will denounce them now…

I couldn’t wait to finish reading this article to check my local area Craigslist listings. Fortunately, there was only one activism job listed for protecting the coast, posted every couple of days, particulary wanting to target of all people Charlie Crist. I can’t believe that Obama and his cronies actually have to pay people to pretend to support his healthcare plan when ordinary red-blooded Americans manage to show their support out of pure pride and patriotism, without being paid, called to arms, etc. There is a definite disparity between those who want to live life without government being shoved down their throats and those that can only manage to show up if there is a paycheck in it for them. This absolutely reeks of desperation on their part and I couldn’t be happier that they are reduced to this.

When I was a grad student at Virginia Tech in 1986, Caspar Weinberger (Reagan’s Sec. of Defense) came to campus to give the Founder’s Day address. A 70′s model Chevy fan with Michigan tags pulled onto campus. About 10 “longhairs” fell out of it carrying protest signs. They went into the speech, held their signs up and created a ruckus. Several of them were escorted out of the auditorium.

After the speech, they all piled back into their van and headed back out of town. I’m sure if that had happened in 2009, the mainstream media would report this as a “grassroots outpouring of opposition from Virginia Tech students”.

A few weeks ago, there was a prominent article in the Orange County Review, a small rural Virginia once a week newspaper, announcing the opening of an office for Skyline CAP. The article stated they were a Community Organizing organization, and, asked for volunteers and advertised there would be paid management positions available. Last week this organization advertised in the help wanted ads for “Foreclosure Prevention Specialists.”

Trying to find out about who they were, I searched for Skyline CAP, and this is what came back-

I have looked into the “scholarships” and I would say at least 1/2 are legit and the other 1/2 are liberal causes whether it be $ for scholarships or internships and some I could easily trace back to George Soros one of the Astroturf kings.

I have not searched on there lately but perhaps I should go check it out and see if there are any Obamacare Astroturf scholarships or internships on there – will report back if there are.

You know those folks you see standing on the street saying “You have a minute for x cause?” That’s these folks. They have to fundraise a certain amount per day to keep their jobs.

So,instead of walking past them, stop and talk to them. Ask questions (they have a script so you can easily confuse them). No matter what, just keep talking to them. If they are talking to you, they are not talking to the next person walking down the street. Since you are never going to sign up with them, you have just wasted their time.

If obamacare opponents are ginned up, how do they communicate with their masters? If obama cultists have to advertise, why don’t its opponents have to advertise? Do our insurance overlords have a giant rolodex?

We produce emails, video, etc,, demonstrating how the cultists are organized but there is no trace of emails, memos, etc. from insurance or RNC overlords? Do obamacare opponents pick up their people in front of a Home Depot just before the townhall meetings?

Guess I’m outta luck shopping for lib astroturf here. Knoxville either. But as I noted here this is pretty much a conservative stronghold. We don’t even have an ACORN chapter. Yet. Umm, I don’t think we do anyway.

On my way to the FL Liberty Summit on Saturday I saw a charter bus unloading protesters. Everyone getting out of the bus was wearing signs. I only got a good look at a couple of signs but they were definitely Pro Universal Health Care. They were all uniform (except for wording) and professionally made.

The east-side is predominantly conservative, but the west-side borders the great states of Oregon and Washington. and has the greater population.

If my dem crap-weasel representative has one anyway. Maybe we can file a class action suit aginst ACORN, they are discriminating against right wingers by not promoting our astro-turf.

Looking at the Left provides pictures and a great narrative of Pelosi’s visit to the Stout Street Clinic that kicked the crap out of the coverage by the Denver Post.

The blogger reports and takes pictures of OFA, HCAN, SFMT, various union members, and rent-a-mob non-English speaking protesters holding signs printed in English, in support of Obama’s healthcare grab. He quotes one of the astroturfers saying transportation was waiting to take them to the next site Pelosi was to speak at and take a photo op.

On the Denver Post link they are running a poll titled “What’s your view on efforts to reform healthcare?”

I’ve never been contacted by any organized group.
