The Times, Then and Now – Powerline
The New York Times is participating in the dissemination of the stolen State Department cables that have been made available to it in one way or another via WikiLeaks. My friend Steve Hayward recalls that only last year the New York Times ostentatiously declined to publish or post any of the Climategate emails because they had been illegally obtained.
One staffer was conspicuously overweight. The president, in an incident that Wolffe believes proves how caring the man is, took it upon himself to present the aide with a salad for lunch — “then listened to him protest that he could take care of his own health. ‘I love you, man,’ Obama said. ‘I want you to look after yourself. Eat the salad.’ ”
I love you, man. Eat the salad. That is the Obama presidency in a plastic see-through clamshell. (Hold the ranch dressing!) The president loves us. He knows what’s best for us. We should bow to his superior wisdom.
CFACT’s Marc Morano appeared on Fox News’ “Your World with Neil Cavuto” to discuss the recent admission by a UN official that the goal of a climate treaty is to “redistribute . . . the world’s wealth by climate policy.”
This candid statement came only days before the next UN climate change conference in Cancun, Mexico. Last year’s conference in Copenhagen dissolved in discord between the developed and developing worlds. UN conference organizers hope to push through a treaty this time, but this admission may complicate their efforts.
Behold the most incoherent statement from Howard Dean since his famous “Yeargh!” in Iowa, and that’s saying something. The Blaze clips the audio of a Dean appearance from almost two months ago, when the audience asks what he would do about the media.
