The ongoing humiliation and debasement of those who support Donald Trump is absolutely mind-blowing. Chris Christie, Sarah Palin, Fox News … we’ve been over this. But what is happening to Dr. Ben Carson is downright sad. Like this interview for Yahoo! News.
YAHOO: But if someone like Mr. Trump can call you, an acclaimed and noted neurosurgeon, as someone who lacks intellect or is a child molester, doesn’t that alarm you as to how he can portray other people in this country as well, and use the same rhetoric?
CARSON: Well, you know, he said, you know, it was political, you know, he was concerned about the fact that he couldn’t shake me, you know I understand, you know, politics and particularly the politics of personal destruction, and you have to admit to some degree that it did work, you know? A lot of people believed him.
It worked! Ha ha! THAT’S GREAT THEN GOOD POINT YOLO!!!!
He says that he would have been really upset about it if this were about him. He even calls it “the politics of personal destruction.” (Which used to be a BAD thing but whatevs.) But since it isn’t about him, hey, full steam ahead. Maybe this should be a stump speech: Making America great through great things like the great way he greatly called me a sicko moron. Please, sir, may I have some more?
Can you imagine sitting there and taking this kind of crap, having it shoveled in your face, for the promise of a potential future job? I guess we know the price of your dignity, Dr. Carson.
