Too Much Praise? Or Just Too Much Praise?
So I’m sitting in the AOL bullpen watching Hillary. She’s echoing throughout the giant tent-like temporary structure … lag times you know. Someone in the press lounge has the CBS coverage on, and I hear this mere seconds after the end of the speech: “So … do you think she spent enough time praising Obama the man? Or too much time praising their shared values?” | Read More »
Cantor and The Truth Squad
This morning, I had the opportunity to speak briefly with Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), who is here in Denver making the interview rounds. As he phrased it, he’s here with the McCain "Truth Squad". Their objective is to "cut through" the glitz and celebrity this week, to highlight what millions of Americans already believe: Senator Obama is not ready to lead. Cantor was in good | Read More »
Things To Do in Denver When You’re Red
“I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This … reality, whatever you want to call it, I can’t stand it any longer. It’s the smell … if there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I’ve somehow been infected by it.” – Agent Smith Denver 2008. Medea Benjamin, Ward | Read More »
Police State in Denver
Recreate 68 is convinced they live in a state of opression. Since the government now prevents them from exercising their free speech, they held a huge protest march where they were given free reign on half the streets of Denver and international press coverage, wherein they said any despicable thing they wanted. So yeah, they’re totally being oppressed. I spent some quality time with these | Read More »
Attacking Fox News in Denver
Today I had the dubious privilege of attending a protest here in Denver. Recreate68 and several other protest groups organized a rally with speeches and music, followed by a protest march to the entrance to Pepsi Center, where the convention will be held. I have a number of videos and photos, but I wanted to post this one right away. I was able to capture | Read More »
Txt Me XTC
I can’t help but think, as I imagine all these Democrats hovering over their iPhones, sweat rolling down their cheeks, shushing everyone who dares speak, of another group of acolytes who spent their time in anxious anticipation of the ultimate selection by their “The One”: Can’t you just picture the txtual release, the electoral ecstasy, when they finally get their magic missive from on high? | Read More »

An American Carol
Apostasy I say. Yes, a spoof of a liberal. This movie would be harder to believe in than bigfoot if it weren’t for the non-rubber proof above. It is the rarest of things to see hollywood (well, an independent film company) and some big stars poking fun at liberals. But at Hollywood’s Gold Buddha Michael Moore? Be still my heart! I’d be satisfied with this | Read More »
The Loch Ness Monster’s Book Was WRONG
The big bigfoot discovery claimed last week turns out to have been hoax. I’ll wait for the shock to wear off. Good? Ok. It seems the corpse frozen in the ice block was just a rubber suit. The story revealing this information is just chock full of fun paragraphs. For example: “Steve Kulls, executive director of squatchdetective.com and host of Squatchdetective Radio, says in a | Read More »
The Roaring Left
It is a place or time of darkness and threat, of fear and oppression. People are suffering. They are dying. It is a time when a man waits for his fate, expecting to be agonizingly tortured to death. He is afraid. He is distraught. Alone. In such a place, a man’s heart reaches for comfort. In such times, man turns to God. Faith in our | Read More »
McCain Nation Anyone?
I’m curious to find out if anyone is hosting or attending a McCain Nation event. This just hit my attention span, and today is the day so it’s too late for me. Although I wouldn’t be against hitting an Applebees or something in Charlotte. Anyone?
Invisibility, Corpse of Bigfoot, Celebrity Chef International Spies, and Secret Laser Death Rays
I guess this is what you get when the National Enquirer breaks a big story like the John Edwards thing (which you can discuss at this handy Video Thread). Today was a National Enquirer day in the MSM. I thought I’d round some up and call it: The RedState Inquirer Celebrity Chef Espionage First, from Fox News, is the revelation that famed chef and famously | Read More »
Neither Rain, Nor Sleet, Nor War, Nor Troops
The beautiful sand, surf and sun of Hawaii has proved too delightfully relaxing for Senator Obama this week. Sadly, he’s had to miss out on an entire war, taking only enough time to elicit compliance from Russian President Medvedev by decree. So overwhelmed with his vacation is the Senator that he cannot even take the time to help the poor, long-suffering clerks at his own | Read More »
Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman Bill Gwatney Murdered
Arkansas Democratic Party Chairman Bill Gwatney died this afternoon from gunshot wounds. He was shot and fatally wounded at the party headquarters by a lone gunman. The shooter was later shot and killed by Little Rock Police. Gwatney was a popular party chair, and a Clinton super delegate. Please remember his family and friends in your prayers.
This is another video open thread. Post your best clips of something that was unintentionally funny. Here’s my entry, a video from TMRB.tv: We also would have accepted: Video of Edwards Being Taken Seriously in Any Other Context. OPEN THREAD
What Sounds War Mongerier?
The New York Times today published an interesting correction to the last 12 years: An article on Sunday about Senator John McCain’s campaign management style described his role as a Navy pilot in Vietnam incorrectly. He flew bombing missions as an attack aircraft pilot, but he was not a “fighter pilot.” (The error has appeared in numerous other Times articles the past dozen years, most | Read More »
DARN YOU GMAIL!!!
You may now proceed to vent.
“Celebrity distorts democracy by giving the rich, beautiful, and famous more authority than they deserve.”Maureen Dowd, The New York Times, “Giant Puppet Show”(Poor Maureen, if only you could have seen the future, those words would never have escaped your pen.) What do you get when you cross two of the biggest celebrities in the world? I know, you’re thinking “Apple” right? But, no, that’s not | Read More »
