Ron Suskind’s new book has spawned some discussion of a letter he claims was forged by the CIA on the direction of the Bush administration to gin up what he considers to be their fraudulant case for invading Iraq. Doug Feith testified to the House Judiciary Committee today on his role in GWOT detainee treatment, AKA the “Torture Narrative.” According to said narrative, the officially-sanctioned policy of systematic, brutal and illegal mistreatment of captured enemies led directly to the abuses at Abu Ghraib.
