Red Alert: New Brady Bill being attempted as a result of Giffords shooting

Senator Robert Brady (D-PA) plans on introducing legislation that would, to quote The Hill, “make it a federal crime to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a federal official or member of Congress.” As an example of such rhetoric, Brady singled out the now-infamous Palin crosshairs map, saying, “You can’t put bull’s-eyes or crosshairs on a United States congressman or a federal official.”

It’s sad that I have to say this in reference to national tragedy, but it is now more than ever that we have to be wary of threats in the form of gun and speech controls. This bill is one such threat, and needs to be opposed strenuously. Sarah Palin’s political speech, and that of others, cannot be held liable for this, or any other, tragedy: a bullseye does not cause or even naturally lead to political violence, and as far as we know, the killer was not motivated by it even one little bit. Peoples’ actions are their own, and removing a cornerstone of free speech will do nothing to prevent future tragedies, all while doing its part to un-Constitutionally restrict political speech. Elected Dems rarely waste a tragedy: don’t let them use this one to pass legislation that shreds our First Amendment rights.

    …..and chastised with vigor.

This tragedy had NOTHING to do with political speech or gun control laws. It was a sick nut who used a weapon illegally to murder.

The attempts by Brady to shut down free speech and shut down the second amendment are the things that should be condemned.

Outlawing clip art is a critical step closer to getting the mentally ill in this country the help they need. Thank God we have Brady and his white horse to save the day.

We’ll see further steps to put congress on a pedestal as elites, further insulated from their constituents and the will of America.

The story from the left is about congress and not about those that have lost their lives at the hand of this left wing nut.

The Democrats are swimming in the blood of the tragedy. Never let a good crisis go to waste, and they aren’t.

Yesterday afternoon on FOX, there was a press conference with the Director of the FBI, Robert Muller, along with the loose lipped Sheriff Dubnik. The commentary preceding the press conference included the fact that the FBI Director has never ever been sent to the site of any tragedies. If I am not mistaken, didn’t Muller make some references to the uncontrolled incendiary language used on the Internet? Did anyone else hear that? My husband was in another room and heard it. His remark was, here we go, more excuses to monitor and control free speech on the Internet.

I have faith that the new Brady Bill will not gain steam and pass. I heard this bill was going to be brought up today. In this case it is better that the Republicans have put off any legislation this week. Hopefully the heightened emotions, and accusations will die down, and cooler heads will prevail. Time for a Gag order to be put on the political hack Sheriff of Mayberry, oops, sorry, Tuscon.

Strange things can happen with heightened emotions in the air, though. I read about Muller’s remarks, too: that’s something we’ll need to watch out for.

I saw that interview and heard that comment. Pitiful.

The degree of depth of the true intentions(radical spin and lies) of Dubnik REALLY came out in the Megyn Kelly interview though.

The shooting wasnt politically motivated…. but Dubnik’s treatment of it was. It appears that Dubnik was even more of a loser than clearly seen by his lies.

Democrat Sheriff Dubnik fraudulently spewed pure and blatant spin to fabricate an attack, based on zero truth, in order attack any American who is against Obamacare, Pitiful.

……Then there?s gotta be ?something else? in that leftist Brady?s legislation.

Colorado man arrested for threats to senator’s staff.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE7095Z120110110

(Reuters) – A Colorado man has been arrested for allegedly threatening Democratic Senator Michael Bennet’s staff two days before a gunman went on a shooting spree in Arizona that gravely injured a member of Congress, authorities said Monday.

John Troy Davis, 44, called Bennet’s Denver office on January 6 seeking help with his Social Security benefits but then threatened to “come down there and shoot you all,” according to an FBI affidavit filed in federal court Friday.

The complaint accused Davis of one count of making threats to hurt or kill a U.S. official, a charge that carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

    They’re federal officials/employees, yes ?

    Thought so.

Leftists like Brady sure never let facts and actualities get in the way of attempts at inciting a crisis too good to waste.

    Nudge.

If we could just limit magazines to ten rounds, well, then in that two seconds it takes that Sarahtron to drop one and slap another one into the hole we could ………..try to talk some sense into him.
