The Silly Rumor that Obama is not a Natural Born Citizen

There’s a silly rumor going around that Sen. Obama was born at Coast Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya and that his paternal grandmother has confirmed it.

Senator Obama long ago released what is known as a short-form birth certificate from Hawaii. However, he has not released his long-form birth certificate from Hawaii. Why not release it? John McCain’s is already publicly available. I’m 99% sure that Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States, but it’s strange that he’s refusing to prove it.

    I was in my car listening to talk radio and who was Austin Hill and he was talking to an reporter at a local television station in HI….KHON2 and they are on the story….I have to say I was very surprised….and the one thing the reporter said is that in 1961 Barack would not have been listed as African which is what the on line birth certificate states he would have been listed as a negro…..I am just saying!

    OBTW we can still beat him without this BUT this is a Constitutional question that NEEDS to be addressed and Obama can end it right now!

    I think the sticking point for him is that he was adopted and became a citizen of Jakarta, Indonesia. It makes sense that the main reason he won’t release his medical records and college transcripts is because he may have applied for FOREIGN financial aid using his Indonisian citizenship, much like he did when he traveled to Pakistan in 1981. It’s already been documented that he traveled to Pakistan in 1981 using this passport.

    I think that Berg’s suit will be dismissed on grounds of lack of standing. However, Jeff Schreiber at America’s Right commented today that he had a hunch that Judge Surrick “may surprise” based on feedback he’s been getting from his sources inside the courthouse. Rumor is that Judge Surrick does a lot of his own research and is very thorough with his order and memorandum.

    The Secretary of State in Washington has ordered and filed suit for Obama to issue an original copy of his birth certificate before his name is placed on the ballot in Washington (State) too.

      My Google search, albeit brief, only yielded a suit against the Washington Secretary of State, seeking a Court to compel him to verify Obama’s natural born status—a very different proposition, and still fraught with standing problems.

        I think that Berg’s suit will be dismissed on grounds of lack of standing.

        If a citizen does not have standing to defend the Constitution then who does?

          Berg has made the case to the judge that this is a case about defending the Constitution and so he has a right to request these documents. However, Jeff Schreiber thinks that it will be dismissed on grounds of lack of standing OR the judge will partly side with Berg.

    I saw posted on a number of blogs, including conservative ones, an image of a birth announcement in a Hawaii newspaper shortly after Obama’s birthday that clearly said “Barack Obama.”

    Even if he or someone else claimed other citizenship status after that, it seems pretty clear that he was at least born in Hawaii, which fulfills the Constitutional requirement.

    While I believe that there IS a media conspiracy to elect Obama to the presidency, I don’t believe that conspiracy began when he was an infant. If so, it’s the most successful nefarious plot in the history of the world.

    The numbers for his campaign fundraising show enormous amounts of cash. Maybe he’ll need it for his legal problems.

    He says he has a Constitutional Law degree, so my guess is he knows exactly what he is doing. He believes the Constitution is a living document subject to re-definition from time to time…….

      PSDA, his parents were college students in Hawaii. On summer vacation, why not a trip to Kenya in 1961? Obama was born that summer. If I were such a parent, I might well take him home and register his birth as a home birth, to avoid the hassle of naturalization.
