In my opinion the problem with Afghanistan is very, very simple*. In many conflicts when the strategy shifts from “winning” to “not losing” losing is pretty much the end result. Maybe? A really good showing or a win in Florida might do it to push him up with or past Gingrich or Romney. Time will tell, I’ve been wrong before etc, but I think he’s positioned just right to pull out an upset.
